A halfway decent coach can win when he has great players. But a great coach wins even when his players are not great. A great coach gets the best out of his players. That is definitely not happening with this team. JJ is definitely not getting the best out of these players. In fact, at times they look like a poorly coached high school team. A lot of the luster with JJ is wearing off.

I’ll restate my post from a different thread.

All of yall are absolutely going to hate our next baseball coach.
Idk when Jay will leave, retire, get fired, whatever.

If you don’t like him right now, just wait until our next coach comes in, because you are going to hate him, whoever he is. You’ll probably even wish for the Maineiri years. Not even the good early to middle Maineiri years, you’ll long for the last few years where he wasn’t even good anymore.

Well that’s because he totally flopped in the portal and halfway through the season there’s no more strings to pull. So he knows he’s cooked

He's doing his "Comfortable and Coasting" BK & EO impersonation. There's no legitimate reason for LSU Baseball to ever look this bad. (Saban didn't take a season off every now and then to Coast) No reason for LSU to ever lose a single game or a series to a bunch of "Junior Colleges" and a fricking SWAC/HBCU school.

If you truly believe this, then you are dumber than I originally thought you were.

This isn’t even a decent troll.

A&M is ranked, just won a series vs big bro, and is competing to host a regional. As of now, it is trending towards them not making a coaching change at the end of the season.
They reportedly made a run at Vitello last summer and backed off due to his price tag. What makes you think that Jay will leave LSU for less money?
What percentage does A&M give baseball in rev share?
Do they have more NIL for baseball? Jay has won several head-to-head recruiting battles with them.
Jay has spoken about his decision to leave Arizona for LSU, and his decision to leave Nevada for Arizona. He said one of the constants in both decisions was that LSU and Arizona had “done it before” meaning there was no doubt whether or not it was possible to win championships. The same cannot be said for Texas A&M.
The only school we would need to worry about poaching Jay is Texas. They are the only program on LSU’s level. Texas does not appear to be going through a coaching search anytime soon.

Based upon I have heard this Aggie thing may have some legs.

If you actually heard this, you were lied to.
