Short memory on those pick 6's?
Even shorter memory on Lee leading us to the greatest start our program has ever had in 2011? Granted Lee was a senior that year but he does deserve credit.
I support Anthony Jennings and I will stand behind whoever plays quarterback for us. Will never bash a college kid for trying his hardest. That being said, Lee had an NFL arm and got a shot at making it in the league. At this point, Jennings will not have that same opportunity because his arm is far behind what Lee's was.

Jarrett Lee was a good passer. He was put in spread passing offense with a shitty defense and forced to throw a ton.
Jarrett Lee in a prostyle balanced O with a good defense was very efficient.
But OMG, pick sixes!

But you roll with with Jennings after that putrid sophomore season with a terrific running game and solid defense.

I thought this was going to be a pump up thread for LSU in the NCAA tournament.

Lee actually ended up being a pretty good QB at LSU.

lee improved from his freshmen year to his senior year, but 1. 2008 was his second year on the team, 2 he sucked in 2009 and was mediocre at best in 2010.
He was serviceable on the best team we have had since 2007 in 2011. But he wasn't exactly lights out.

See FLA and AU games and tell me that's just serviceable........... Better than AJ will ever be....

True. But why didn't Lee get any PT in the Championship game, Why Coach, why?

Just 2 points
1. he as a whole is serviceable. he only had 1 200+ passing game in 2011.
2. Maybe a 5th year AJ could be that good. there was nothing in JL's first 3
years of the program that made me think he could ever do anything but suck. He didn't show anything worth while till his fourth year.

The other QBs had an established started ahead of them and could afford a year to redshirt. Harris had a QB ahead of him who couldn't complete 50% or throw for 200 yards. At least the coaches gave him a shot, but I think starting at Auburn and calling the game the way the coaches did didn't help Harris one bit.

key word here. and he's right. the last true freshman before harris to throw a pass in an LSU uniform was jefferson in 2008 only after the 1st and 2nd string QB's went down to injury.

It pisses me off how little credit Lee receives all because of Miles inability to manage the QB position. Because there is no doubt JL improved greatly at the QB position, and there is also no doubt that Miles cannot recruit, nor develop QBs. So Lees faults are solely on Miles for undermining the kids confidence by way of his stubborn coaching decisions

Agree 100%... That took his confidence away bigtime. And MILES didn't give him a chance to gain it back... ALL ON MILES................ Horrible coaching move....

Well that was your own personal take away and obviously it was wrong. I didn't see it the same way at all. It was obvious to me all along that he had a skill set tailored for a prostyle offense.
Jarrett Lee wasn't great, but he was better than AJ was last year in any of his seasons and simply watching him play made that clear. AJ just had the worst season at QB for LSU since Marcus Randall and he was set up for success with talent around him about as good as he possibly could have been.
