Isn't the NCAA compelled to get involved?

I feel like this is something that is being overlooked.

The SEC was operating under an existing Louisiana injunction while seeking a federal order that would protect its independent governance actions. It did not obtain that federal order. Continuing down the most aggressive path anyway—particularly expelling or punishing LSU because of the protected athletes—would have exposed the SEC to a serious argument that it was circumventing the Louisiana court. And because the NCAA is itself enjoined and Jorden has already scrutinized whether conference action was being used to accomplish indirectly what his order prohibited, the NCAA cannot safely treat the SEC's conduct as though it has nothing to do with the NCAA litigation.

So, following this theory of lack of institutional control..

Technically, as of right now, the SEC has gone rogue

Not counting on the NCAA to wade into this mess (that they had a hand in creating). It would be interesting if the LA courts issued warrants for violating its order to Sankey and some of the clown presidents that he’s riled up. That would be entertaining… though it would be tied up in courts for years, as lawyers like to do…
