The move would be Moore on Friday, Scmidt on Saturday. If you need Evans to win one of those games, you use him. If you don't he starts sunday.
I trust Jay and Yeskie, but I say do this!
I agree with the OP, tonight is Evans last chance to hold onto the Game1 spot. In that regard, tonight is a win-win… either Evans finally steps up, so good, or he doesn’t pitch well again, so then that’s good in a different way that we now know we need to shake things up moving forward

In a perfect world Cowan could give you 4-5 and let whoever’s left on Sunday finish it out
In a perfect world, Evans plays to his potential and Cowan can be used in long relief for whoever needs it on the weekend. A perfect world isn’t needing Cowan to start games

No. Evans is Him.
He needs to relax and throw strikes. His stuff is good enough, but he's struggled with the transition. Not entirely his fault but if he's gonna throw Friday nights he needs to have a strong mentality. He's shown flashes but he isn't there yet.

I have no idea one way or another but I saw a tweet and I’ve been thinking about it for 3 days and I know there are many more baseball knowledgable posters on tRant.
We’re almost halfway thru the season. Schmidt and Moore have looked solid behind him (considering the baseball we’ve played). Is this Evan’s last try to keep Friday (Thursday in some cases), or do you slide them around and try and gain a series advantage before getting to Sunday 0-2?
Oklahoma Isn’t some pushover so I do think this is Evans’ greatest test in accuracy, control, execution and composure. And he gets the benefit of doing it at the Box with the Tiger Faithful behind him. Hope the crowd shows up on a Thursday!
Last audition as a Friday starter? Yes i think so
Last audition as a weekend starter? nah probably would give him another start after this one then make decision

I like Evans. The big key with him is control. When he has decent control he's a good pitcher.
I think CJJ will stick with him, especially since we've all seen what he can do when he masters his control issues.

Well yeah, when you make up shite and say it was my prediction, its laughable.
But here is what you did say about Eyanson last year, with proof.

I said it the first game he pitched against Purdue he doesn't fool anybody.
And the people said well give him time, give him a few games, give him that give him this. Guess what i was right again
