KG made 900k last year with a bonus, his salary is 650k, it will take close to 1 mil to get him, you willing to pay 1 mil for a softball coach? Give Beth 1 mil in NIL and see who she gets, Texas Tech has close to 3 mil in their roster. If you follow Ok State they are regressing as well, they can’t recruit

They're just gonna run out her contract, but they won't bring her back after that. They might tell her after this season that they aren't going to renew her contract and just hope she seeks employment elsewhere. That's what i'm hoping for.

They hit last night until Heavener got in and started holding SC down then we stopped hitting. Always something going sideways.

5 runs should be enough IF you have legitimate SEC staff, if folks are looking for 7-8 runs a game then this team dont have those type of players. Beth cant make them hit with runners in scoring position. Why is the baseball team not as good this year? I mean Jay is the best head coach in the country, that should be enough he can will average players to be like last yrs players right? Surely, Jay can make Yorke be as good as Jared Jones right? My point is players win games, give me great players over great coaches every day !!

That will happen, but it will be after NEXT year, not this year. They will give her one more year regardless of what happens the rest of this year.
The only way she is not coaching at LSU next year is if she resigns on her own.

Why would Beth resign? She has a great class coming in, up to 4 will start or play significant roles and 1 mil buyout

She and her staff definitely don't recruit Louisiana talent and they do a very poor job recruiting out of state and in the transfer market! Then they do a poor job coaching what little talent they bring in... weak pitching and weak hitting for the most part.

I think the impetus for doing it now as opposed to waiting would be that with another bad year, her spotlight shines a little less. The longer she waits, the farther down the totem pole the job offers come from.

Exactly.
However, if the season goes South, she could just maybe want to spend more time with her family. Who knows? She has enough money and LSU would probably give her some kind of administrative job if she still wanted to work a little and stay in BR.

Newsflash. I'm not even going to watch the game until the 5th inning. And, even then I'll watch maybe one batter. It will be more of checking the score every 15 or so minutes.

Agree, recruiting has been abysmal until this next class which is an elite class. I think Beth got re-focused on recruiting and it shows. As far as recruiting Louisiana players who did we miss on that has made AA or all conference in a p4 conference? Hemphill was recruited by Beth and she chose to go to Bama. There are teams in the state full of Louisiana players, they ever been to a super regional much less a WS? The not recruiting Louisiana players is a myth. On the development front Berzon was 2 time AA, they had two hitters that were All Americans last yr, one that never played and the other a career .240 hitter, first AA hitters since Pleasants her freshman yr 6 yrs ago or so.. I would say that represents development. They were 2nd in hitting in SEC play 4th overall and were one of the best offenses in LSU history. Every yr is different with 11 new players, Beth is bringing in a couple of big time pitchers, one may be the best in the country that throws 72-74. If folks would read LSU daily news they have great articles about recruiting and really good insight on what’s going on.
