Like I said, probably not as good. But far from a bad set up. And nothing we’ve seen these first two games say it’ll be bad.

My opinion exactly. Though I think you’re wrong on SS (5 errors last year. I’d take the over on 5).

It just feels like 1-9 is capable of launching bombs. Jays last team at Arizona was insane. I think just about all his hitters were batting over 300

No idea, but they've struggled to produce with runners on for the majority of their first two games against Milwaukee.

So far, they haven't shown much.

Outside of the three late innings where they've scored 3+ runs.

It'd be nice to see some production against Milwaukee much earlier than the 7th/8th inning.

Because runs count for more earlier in the game?

You have 9 innings to score runs. Who cares if they come in bunches, or they are spread? And who cares if they come early or late?

And the present Center fielders was better than the former.

You do not know this after 2 games.

We've been ok but haven't exactly looked dominant thus far. It's early for both teams but talent aside especially so for Milwaukee. You can't really judge a team this early as they haven't had enough looks for any kind of statistical trends to have developed. For instance I don't know if there's been a ball hit to the 3rd baseman yet. Nor do I think we've had to defend against a stolen base attempt. Edit: I do remember they had one successful streak attempt against us but it was overall handled well.

Struggling early in game is common when the opposition has likely their best pitchers on the mound but it's also Milwaukee. Likewise we haven't been absolutely dominant on the mound.

Now does any of this really mean anything in the long run? No not really. Team has a lot of newcomers and needs time to gel and to get back into their groove. I'm in no way freaking out but I'm certainly not seeing anything that definitively says this team is better than last years national championship winning team. There's plenty enough talent there. Outside of g1 and g2 starters. I don't think we have anyone on this roster who is going to surpass those two guys. Probably not even come close. But there's the (not yet realized) potential for the staff as a whole to be as good or better overall than last year. We shall see if it comes to pass. I think this team is going to be good though. We'll see if they can become great.

should be yes. didn't lose any stalwarts and nobody in the lineup for defense only this year.

shouldn't be difficult to upgrade offensive production from Braswell and Pearson, so I'd expect the bottom of the order to be better.

Dickinson is biggest loss to replace in terms of the bat but I don't see a big dropoff. Maybe no dropoff

Okay, got hammered with this topic. Like I said, better hitting than last year. If we are not hitting bombs, we are getting doubles galore. Anyone from 1-9 can rake.

This LSU team is starting to look like a team that will have to beat itself to lose. The lineup is relentless 1 through 9 and it’s Sunday game 3 of a series and the bullpen is still fully stocked.
