Is this the biggest regular season win post-Dale Brown?

#5 Kentucky at Rupp Arena and winning at the buzzer is amazing. I’m trying to think of a bigger game in the regular season that had bigger implications. Beating #5 Kentucky on the road is so tough.
Arizona - LSU during the Stromile and Jabari’s run was another game that comes to mind. They humiliated and toyed with that Arizona team.
I’m trying to think of one during the final 4 run. Has to be a signature regular season there. I’m about to look them up.
I’m trying to think of games that got LSU the full attention of the country and got the fans back involved.

Think 1978 against #1 Kentucky in the final game of the regular season. Kentucky was ONE game away from a perfect SEC record of 18-0. . . until OVERTIME!
That was prolly the greatest win by LSU over Kentucky in my lifetime. Sure, we beat the hell out of them at Rupp Arena in January of 87, but beating them that day on 1978 is what really put LSU on the map and cemented Dale Brown's job for pretty much as long as he wanted it.

Also beat #1 AZ at home in 2002 just before Christmas. I was there and it was very unexpected

Arizona at home was the biggest imo

This win could get us a 3 seed, I cant remember when we were higher than a 4, so yes it could be

It also lets us control our destiny in winning the SEC. HUGE win. To beat a #5 Kentucky team at Rupp, a place we've only won at 5 times in our history, it doesn't really get bigger than that for a regular season game.

I turned 38 today.
Only the 3rd win at Rupp since I’ve been alive.
Amazing win

Happy birthday, sky screamer.

Those are LSU’s victories at Kentucky, all of them at Rupp. Are you sure tonight isn’t the fourth?
