Defensively, they will improve, but in reality their weakness is still their DL and you can run on them. If our OL comes out playing like the UGA game, then we should be able to move the ball effectively. If UGA's defense had a strength it was against the run, although they aren't amazing at it.

They're LBers and secondary are really good, but to be honest, they haven't faced on legit offense this entire season. Troy is the best offense they've faced so in all honesty, not sure how good their numbers really are.

I have watch demps and rainy run. they are not natural running backs. kinda like handing off to trindon

Sure, if Trindon averaged 10 yards per carry.

I think if our Oline plays like they did against UGA or any of our other 5 games, we're in serious trouble.

Our Oline wasn't good at all run blocking against UGA. Hell 1/3 of our yards came on Scott's last run, and he made that run on his own, not with good blocking. Take that away, and our run game was very lackluster for 59 minutes.

you are a fricking retard. every time i see one of your posts it makes me want to punch you in the face.

there is absolutely no way that you have more than a 3rd grade education and giving you that slightest of concessions is an insult to my own 3rd grade teacher.

I'll go the other way. This Florida team is as good, if not better than the 2008 version. Do not make the mistake of forgetting that teams evolve throughout the year. The LSU team that beat Georgia Tech in the Peach Bowl would pummel the 2009 Tigers even though I believe the 2009 Tigers are (and will be) better than the 2008 Tigers.

At this point last year, Florida was 4-1 and not looking like world beaters. To date, they have not lived up to the preseason hype, but no one seriously questions this team and anyone with half of a brain recognizes that we will have to play to the best of our abilities to beat them.

Saying they aren't all that may help assuage some of that fear our fanbase has about this game. But it doesn't change reality. We've got a talented, nasty football team coming to Baton Rouge intent on embarrassing LSU again. Our guys need to be focused and ready. They have the talent to win this, but it will not be easy.

They are good, but not immortal. ESPN has a way of trying to make gods out of them. If LSU plays up to its potential and for once this season play a complete game , noone can convince me that LSU could loose this game. Statistics are deceiving. The defense is getting better at bending , but not breaking. The offense last week showed signs of breaking out. The quality of atletes and depth is there. The potential is there. Time to put it in ESPN face. Notice how they are politicing USC back up to the top. Never fails. Quit arse kissing ESPN.

Exactly. UF had its coming out party against LSU last year, up until then no one knew how good we were or were not.

I think Saturday night will be a good indicator of how good both teams really are.

So four trips to the red zone with 6 points to show for it--that's a sign of "breaking out"?

LSU can play to its potential and still lose if Florida likewise plays to its potential. Neither team has much margin for error but I believe Florida has a slightly bigger margin than LSU.

I wonder how our O-line holds up in this game.

They have been pretty bad all year with JJ running for his life too much so if LSU can't run the ball then...well, just uh-oh.

I agree...there are a lot of similarities between this years LSU team and last years UF team...up until this point anyway.

I felt SUPER confident going into gainesville last year and we got shite stomped...this year, surprisingly, I'm more confident than last year. Misguided? perhaps...but like someone said, we have too many weapons to not get in the groove eventually and god help the team opposite us on the field when we do.

Oregon was in the same boat we are...they put it together against Cal and for the past couple weeks no one in the country has played better football than they have.

Didn't say LSU broke out, I said signs. Definitely need to score in the red zone and touchdowns not all field goalds.

Florida has show its potential, LSU hasn't . Thats why i say LSU plays its potential, Florida goes down.

Offensively the passing game is down. Running game is up. Defensively UF is up. Same team LSU faced last year with more experience.
