Not let a hard hit affect his play
It's so simple.

I guess so. I know if Harris lost to Auburn while only scoring 13 points, while dropping a huge fumble without being touched, and missing a wide open Dupre for a touchdown twice on the final drive down the seam, this board would be melting.
This x 100

What would you have liked him to do about it?
if he wasn't injured or had a concussion...not let it affect his play?

Harris is done and wouldn't give him a chance for acting like a baby after his benching. Etling has missed throws but knows what the hell is going on and has moved the offense a whole lot more consistently than Harris did.

And it honesty, thats what he did. He took the hit, brushed it off, and he came back in. That didnt affect the outcome of his play. I find it laughable you are saying it did

This is some grade A spin here.
Let's be fair - you know what the narrative would have been had it been Harris there instead of Etling. You may have been objective, but don't kid yourself about how the rest of the board would have reacted.
At this point I'm pretty sure most people are just giving Etling a pass because they want him to be the guy so we don't go back to Harris. They want to go to Scott or McMillan before Harris for Christ's sake.

Lol. You are all Harris. Etling is light years ahead of Harris. If I Had to guess, Harris shouldn't even be #2. He can't progress through his reads, has zero pocket presence, can't pass accurately on short passes, and can't run. I know why you started this thread, Harris is your boy...but come on, it is very clear who the better qb is.

Nope.
Then why even make this OP, and start it with Etling hasn't progressed?

He hasn't...
I don't think he has won the starting job 100%
That isn't exactly calling for Harris back. Just making observations.
I could start another coaching change thread though if you want

Can you blame them? Harris's play was putrid this year. He is incapable of winning games. I'm sorry, but that is what he showed us.

Because Etling looks no better than Harris. Well it won't matter who Lsu put's in at QB as long as the o-line play is this bad!

Good for you.

Even if this is the case, he's miles ahead of Harris right now.

Hopefully future QB play will improve across the board.

You can't reason with these guys. They are Harris guys. Harris does nothing right...nothing...etling misses a throw here and there, but is much more accurate, and is in control of the offense and can actually go through his progressions. This is not even debatable.

eh...I'll go with better. Miles better is hyperbole.

Harris didn't play well at all this year, and likely would have lost the JSU game.

So are we now acting like Harris has never thrown a TD pas before?
Not like that one he hasn't.

we could have run on them at will
Which explains the two 3 and outs to open the game with Harris at the helm, and the immediate change to TDs when Etling ran the offense.

They wanted to establish the passing game first and Harris didn't look great on 2 of the 4 passing plays, but we weren't likely to lose with him at QB. Come on man.
That team could have beaten us.
