I heard someone on the radio say that he makes Lanard Fournette look like Reggie Bush in comparison

Assume for a moment that he'll never play a down for us. Forget that. Right now, would you give 2 full scholarships to sign the #1 DT in the country?

Since it is a spot of tremendous need? Yes. If you could sign the number 2 DT in the country instead? I’d take the #2 DT and save the extra scholarship.

Hmmm that would probably be a question best asked on the recruiting board.. ya know since he’s a recruit and not a tiger. I understand it’s hard for you guys to follow simple instructions. Maybe next time buddy

Maybe it’s just me but I think it’s pretty shitty to even demand that of any school.

Similar to Leonard and Lanard. In year 3 Lanard is finally showing some value. Shop won’t be here that long however. Less of a hit.

One year is fine. As long as he gets 1 snap in more than 4 games and not get an season ending injury.

Much like the Fournette situation you take the brother and hope like the Fournette situation that the brother turns out to be someone that pays his dues and becomes a contributor to your team and program.

Fournette was someone you touched the ball 20 times a game. We are talking about a defensive tackle.

And we need DTs right now. If that's what it takes to get a potential Day 1 starter on the D-line, then do it. We're only talking about 1 scholarship. There are a lot of kids we hope will contribute when they sign who never see the field.

In this case, if he does contribute then it's a bigger plus. If all he becomes is a camp body, but Ish shows out and helps get us some hardware, then it will be well worth it.

Ish could be the bell cow we've been needing, much like Kevin Faulk was. We've lost too many guys over the last few years to that little midget. Who knows? Maybe getting Ish will be the end of that, and if it means giving his brother a scholly to achieve that end then, by all means, do it.

And Lanard is contributing. Hell, there were times late in the season I wanted him on the field.
