I am also an LSU fan... Like a million+ other Buckeyes. And I support Coach O & E 100% (unlike you).

Honestly, I feel like you're being almost gracious compared to the BS you were getting during the off season.

Now the L you took on the Jugs Machine talking point was pretty big.

However, Burrow is lighting shite up.

I’ve never once said I was cheering against Orgeron. I’m an LSU fan first and foremost. I am enjoying the season but think these ridiculous fan call outs are not only premature but truly bizarre.

It really is a no lose situation for the coach. No matter how it works out, people will say "at least he's trying something different!"

I wonder how many more years he'll get out of exploiting that group of fans.

quote:

Who of the Saints assistants in past years have gone on to run their own great offense? It's an honest question.

The Air raid analogy is a nice thought, but history hasn't shown that Saints assistants have the ability to take that scheme from the organization and implement it. If that's negative energy ok, but it's the truth. There has to be a reason for that.

quote:

Buckeye thinks Burrow is the best QB in the country, though I guess he does have a limit to how much humiliation he's willing to endure because he won't actually say it.

quote:

I thought the part where they had to get unanimous approval from every position coach before a Brady play could make it into the play book was a little much:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The truth is everyone shouldn't have a say as to what plays make it into a playbook. That's the damn OC's job. He's delegating that too.

quote:

This whole approach to creating an offense is disjointed and haphazard, which is this HC's MO. He never goes and gets the guy that knows how to do exactly what he wants. He hires a friend and then forces a concept on him.

quote:

Was just thinking that. Brady is the coach version of Giles this season.

quote:

He is a passing game coordinator. This is Ensminger's offense; he'll get it ready. Brady will take instruction from him, just like the o-line coach, running backs coach and all of the other coaches take instruction from Ensminger.

quote:

It happens so rarely but this Brady/Ensminger deal is a head scratcher.

quote:

Wait Shrubs, aren't you one of the ones that think that Brady's the heir apparent and it's going to basically be his offense this year?

quote:

Brady.

You guys have been slobbering over Brady for weeks now, saying how much of a difference he's going to make.

And sooo much more...

So supporting the coach of my school means I was fan of his more than the program?

Yikes, you are honestly losing it man.

Do you still think this is the greatest line backing corps in school history? I don’t see it.

Yes absolutely. You will see once they get everyone in the right spot. ie Divinity’s imminent return to the outside full time.

Scheme has to be more sound too. Can’t have ILBs trying to guard 10.2 100m players in the open field. I understand why we left 4 LBs on the field most of the game, I do. But Texas did too, and exploited it in the passing game

Um... Thanks for the first part of your comment. Big props to you.

But the 10,000 Jugs reps the WRs (each) took over the Summer brought LSU out of the Stone Age for WR preparation. LSU has gone from one of the sorriest catch rates in college football, to one of the very finest - in less than a year.

Jugs reps are an indispensable part of EVERY elite passing program. High school through the NFL.

Wonderful that LSU has taken their Jugs machines out of the closet.

I'm damn sure am impressed! And I'm not just saying that because of this past Saturday. But I've always thought that O was / is a good coach. He just never got to the right place until now.

See y'all Nov 9th and so far it looks like it's gonna be a fight between two heavyweights once again.

So what do you call the people creating these bizarre call out threads after game 2? Are they Orgeron > LSU fans?

Disappointing that O would lock the jugs machine up intentionally keeping it away from the players

Which call out threads?

I mean, you're still here being obstinate. Seems like you would be happy..
