Our backs haven't been so exceptional as to be able to carry the load without coaching and scheme. Until now..

Agreed
Hill and LF have been the only rbs to separate themselves from the rest of rb corps.

But it's obvious from your avatar you're a Fournette fan.

Who do you think recruited him and hired the other coaches that recruited and coached him? Who hired the coach who helped him train to become more lean and explosive over the summer?

Who hired Cam, a clear NFL caliber coach who is probably here more based on his personal friendship with Miles? You don't think he couldn't get an NFL job again?

Who hired Chavis? Who replaced him with Steele and O?

Do you really think LSU is such an amazing brand that Miles is just riding the wave? Look at other programs with incredibly rich established traditions like Notre Dame, USC, Florida, Michigan, even Alabama who were crappy for years recently.

How the frick can anyone who loves LSU not be a Miles fan? Part of me almost wishes some of you geniuses would get their wish, so that when we're lost in the desert with our tongues hanging out hoping for a top 25 recruiting class and a winning season, you'd finally realize the truth.

Not for yardage, there are teams like Ga Tech and the military academies that run stuff nobody consistently can stop, unless their defense is full of superior athletes across the board.

Les, however, is perhaps the best "old school" coach, who understands that if he can control the game, he can win. If his offense is limited, he will have the QB take the snap down below 5 secs consistently, maintain TOP against a more explosive team, and win at the end if they execute. If he finds a weakness (other team is getting impatient or tired), he usually finds a way to exploit it; and if his team executes they will win a whole lot of the time.

Yes, the best power running game coach. We are fixen to go on a helluva run. Miles weeded out the weak coaches and the team is exactly what he likes. The O-line is stacked with beast, the TE's are big athletic blockers and the full backs crush people.

When you punch the other team in the mouth with power it takes a stout well coached team to respond and play up to that level. This is why his OOC wins are so impressive.

I wouldn't trade this style for that spread pass it a 100 times a game soft shite.

Who else in the country does that toss pitch up the middle, no one. Great way to get the backs going down hill without waiting on a hand off. IMHO

Running that play over and over in a hurry-up mode against Oregon was brilliant back in 2011. It was like Les said "oh, Oregon is such a great team because they like to run a lot of gimicky plays? Let's see how good they are at FOOTBALL!"

They have gotten their teams into national contention in the shitty big 12..... Come on man........

It doesn't matter what schitty conference they're in if they make the playoff and we're on the outside looking in.
