His name isn`t there because no D1 coach has done less with talent than asshat has in the last two years.Plus he is a lousy manager of his assistant coaches.

Like the one you said that, "Sabin>Miles"??
Saban is a better coach than Miles. He will prove this within a short time at Bama.

No....he is not.... He took over a top 5 program that Saban built.... His ability or lack there of is starting to show..... He is an average coach and could be in the bottom 3 of the SEC
1 Saban
2 Meyers
Top 2 SEC
3 Spurrier
4 Richt
5 Petrino
6 Nutt
MIddle of the pack
then the bottom 4
7 Les
8 9 10 In really any order

he is definately a top 10 all time in the LUCKIEST COACH EVER category. He walked into one of the best programs in college football.

Looking back at this entire thread, Zee deserves to come back. He was pretty much dead on this entire thread. Props dude. Ill call you later.

What about the new DC hire and oh yeah, those two little storms he had to deal with his first year?
You people continue to discredit the man.
LOL should have been bumped last year

We will see how great Miles is this year. He dodged another bullet by the RP situation. Instead of the blame going to his decision to hire within, it will be placed on no RP.

I don't think anyone doubted Saban would do well at Alabama.

You must have not been reading carefully, or have a terrible memory.
I know I certainly read in all of 2007 and most of 2008 about how Saban would never even come close to accomplishing what he did at LSU. That he was too high strung, he would brutalize his assistants, recruits would quit on him, he wouldn't get the athletes at Bama like he did at LSU because of Auburn being in the state, the way he left Miami would hurt him on the coaching trail, he was too abrasive and not provide an enjoyable atmosphere for his players, etc.
Some of it was attempts of folks to reassure themselves that they didn't have anything to worry about it with Saban at Bama.

Let me rephrase:
I don't any rational person doubted Saban would do well at Alabama.
