Did Milam hit .400 as a freshman with 100 hits, 21 doubles, 3 triples 12 HR's, and 76 RBI? Then no.

Milam is great, but I keep seeing this word "yet" repeated in this thread. There is no "yet." Milam has absolutely zero chance--even in his 3rd or 4th season if he comes back--to be as good as Todd Walker was even as a freshman. And this is no slight on Milam, but some of y'all have really forgotten just how special Todd Walker was. And it's not fair to Milam to be talking like this.
That said, Milam is a fricking dog, and I can't wait to watch his career and continue to see him grow.

I included the word 'yet' because you never know, but I am very old enough to remember how great Walker was. I agree with you that even if Milam continues to get better he is still not likely to ever come close to what TW did - especially 28 game winning hits in 3 seasons (but I do hope Milam comes close to that because he does have the mindset and physical ability to do so).
