i think the guy can coach and now know he is great since you don't think he's any good

How did you come up with this logic?

"Front Page" Manieri is worried about one person, and only one person......belongs in a toolshed with Brady, Dinardo & Haslett!

He makes terrible decisions late in games, would you care to disagree with that?

I love how you think I "don't know anything about sports."

you dont like that he usually bunts late in games to manufacture runs

that makes him a bad coach?

As well as managing the bullpen. What else, in-game, does a coach have to do that has a major impact on the game?

I don't want anyone else coaching LSU. He's a good recruiter, a good person, a great face for the program, and a decent coach (certainly not great).

I'm just messing with you

It is easy to 2nd guess a coach late in game or when he pulls pitchers,, overall though he does a bang up job

i think he handles the bullpen well. our bullpen has been solid this year

i will bash him on leaving pitchers in too long and not utilizing mound visits enough...maybe thats what you meant

The Rant has wanted/wants the football coach (1 NC), the baseball coach (1 NC), the men's basketball coach, the woman's basketball coach (justly), and the softball coach all within the same school year. Pretty impressive.

it really makes you wonder what goes on in the mind of a rantard. They act like 5 year olds whenever the tigers lose.

Didn't consider the mound visit point, so that's all yours.

But yes, leaving in pitchers too long, whether they are starters or relievers is what I was getting at.

True. I'm just not a big fan of bunting in college baseball. Not that it shouldn't be utilized at times, but I just think Mainieri relies on it too much.

I'm also not a fan of bunting, but I understand it's value. However, we aren't very good at it.

The whole Watkins situation is very surprising. Maneiri has never been shy about making a lineup change, when a player isn't producing. He moved LeMahieu and he wasn't doing bad. He saw where we could be better and he made a change. That's what makes this a surprise.

Yea, the Watkins situation is a head-scratcher. However, it's still relatively early in the season.

He pulled Trey out of the game today after his last error. TW might be riding the pine for a while....

College pitching isn't consistently good enough like it is in the MLB to require as much bunting as we're trying to do early on with the new bats.
