The main difference between last year and this year is we had a QB who could fit the ball in tight spots 20-30 yards down the field

It was nice seeing a consistently successful forward passing game.

I'd like that again.

We don't need a QB who throws for 300 every game. We do need a QB who has a high probability of completing a pass when it's absolutely necessary though.

Some people tend to think many fans want a 3,800 yard passer, and that isn't true. We'd like a QB who could do that, but within the framework of the kind of offense that LSU runs which would translate to 2,700-3,000 yards in a season.

Well, Jeremy, last season the defense couldn't stop a late Georgia drive in Athens, then LSU couldn't overcome three interceptions thrown in the first half, and then the defense again couldn't stop a late drive by Mississippi to win on a last second field goal, and then an early turnover at the goal line early in the game, and the inability of the defense to stop Alabama 3 straight times after tying the game in the third combined with the fact that you could only muster one yard on three carries in the second half before LSU had to go to the passing game to try to catch up.

In short, the defense was sub-par last season.

If we are strictly talking college, Alabama has brought in 4 straight number 1 classes. How do they lose any games?

I can explain it to him. Our defense couldn't stop UGA for most of the game, then in the 4th quarter we got a huge stop, and OBJ dropped a punt and handed them a free TD that was the difference in the game.

Against Ole Miss, Mett threw three first half INTs that we could never recover from.

Against Bama, we played them even for three quarters, then got worn out in the fourth.

That's how we lost three games last year.

You realize you could do that in every season for every loss for every team, right?
It seems crazy to me that y'all think this is a defense of Miles and the team's performance last year.

Our defense couldn't stop UGA for most of the game,

So our defense wasn't good enough to win that game.
quote:

Against Ole Miss, Mett threw three first half INTs that we could never recover from.

So we weren't good enough as a team to overcome our QBs struggles in that game?
quote:

Against Bama, we played them even for three quarters, then got worn out in the fourth.
So Bama was a better team overall than us.

Y'all should do this for every year of Miles tenure to prove that he basically hasn't lost any games. After all, in every loss, somebody or some unit wasn't good enough to win the game. Can't blame the coach for that, right?

Why can't you criticize play without having to only point out the head coach?

It's gotten to a point where you can't discuss deficiencies on the team unless you are singling out and bashing Les.

Dear Jeremy
Les Miles = Dale Brown

Good day!

Fascinating logic prompts me to state that the best coaches in LSU sports history (and definately both H.O.F. college coaches as we just saw Dale get his)
are the same. Hmmmmmmm

The two coaches that led our programs through the best years that each of them has had in regards to WINNING are both hoaxes who infiltrate the profession and use some type of jedi-BS to amass all of the victories that they do.

Guess it's all about leadership

Well, negatigers use the 3 losses despite a load of talent as evidence that Miles is not doing a great job.

Positigers have responded by laying out exactly how we lost those 3 games, in what I assume is a defense of the job Miles is doing.

So I was responding to that.

Proof that the nomenclature of positives has now changed.

The smart lot of us knew this already. But the Miles pumpers now have a dilemma at hand. Who do they choose to wreck.

Beefense or any other pumper.......after you search me, ( we know you do)you now have a question to answer. Are you all over Jeremy hills shite? Or are you crafting a response on how he somehow is walking between the raindrops and is actually not dissing the coaching of 2013.

You're on deck.

I wouldn't call it a defense of what Miles was doing. Just pointing out what happened in those games. It always seems like you and your ilk like to pile on any perceived negative that goes wrong with the program but give absolutely zero credit to positives. That's what kills conversation here. It's irrational criticism.

The only way you think he is calling out the coaches in that tweet is because you want him too.

I kind of figured you were more intellectually honest on here but it seems like you really are an imbecile.

Isn't Jeremy Hill the guy that you Miles haters were all over him because if his "issues"?
And weren't many of the same people praising him busting on Miles for playing him?
Now he's some sort of prophet to you?

Consistency, like intelligence is in short supply around here.
