And replace them with San Jose State or something? There is absolutely no benefit from playing a non-conference game you have even the slightest chance of losing.

Oklahoma and Wisconsin would like to disagree.

But it’s still Miami. It’s not like it’s Louisville or NC State.

Wisconsin is about to get left out for not playing anybody. Rise up and win them all.

Yeah, should totally schedule a Sun Belt school or something. How about Troy?

OP must be the guy with the great idea but no balls to actually risk it and start his own business because he may fail....

Playing Oregon in 2011 set the tone for the best regular season in LSU history, maybe this will d the same. Embrace the chance to be great, it's ok

So, let's say we beat everyone other than Alabama next season. Alabama goes undefeated and wins the SEC championship. Are you really trying to tell me that a team with only one loss to the best team in the country and 4 key wins against Auburn, Mississippi St., Georgia, and Miami doesn't get in to the playoff? There's definitely a benefit.

Don't forget we could be 8-10 players short for any suspensions accumulated in the offseason.

If Miami wins it all this year, It puts LSU back on the main stage in 2018! In addition, our D will be JACKED, but our QB will be inexperienced. With decent play from Brennan or Narcisse, we could be in position to not only compete, but win!
