Has the media already left us for dead in this game. I'd say 9 out of 10 sources I've seen has picked Alabama. I know Bama is good, but damn, we've beaten teams just as decisively. Not whinning, just saying the lack of respect is pissing me off.

The game is at Bama, they are favored, most people will pick them. If it pisses you off, then you have a problem.

Why would you want to be the favored one? I love our postion at this point. The team plays with a chip on their shoulders and Miles has a 10X easier time motivating. The game isnt played on paper, so with an LSU victory the media will be on our side throughout.

I've seen a few picks for LSU.

Honestly, up until this past week, I thought that we could beat Bama, but I was very concerned about the upcoming game and whether or not we actually would. After this past week, though, I am no longer as worried. I really believe that we can go into Bryant Denny and put a convincing beating down on Bama.

If we play with the intensity and skill that we had against Auburn, I don't think there is anyone that can beat us.

I welcome it. I like everyone doubting us. You know the players are listening to all the naysayers and are going to do their best to prove them wrong.

Nothing more than homefield I'm sure. Obviously the media likes LSU just fine seeing how they're an overwhelming #1 in the AP poll.

Besides, we have the secret weapon . . . our friend Keldar is keeping his promise.

RIP, Keldar.

Good. I was hoping that 'Bama would jump LSU in the BCS this week. I like our guys playing with a little chip on their shoulder.

I don't think the lack of respect should piss you off, but I do like the ability for it to piss of the guys on the team.

Fine with me. I believe all of the "experts" picked Oregon as well.

If LSU plays ITS game (swarming/stifling defense, pound the rock, opportunistic passing, solid special teams, no turnovers) it will handily defeat Bama.

I was thinking this too.
LSU seems to be the "underdog" a lot of the time, so I'm never surprised anymore.

We are 8 games into the season, Bama has the #1 D in the nation, they are BCS ranked at #2, they are scoring 40 pts a game, and we are playing at Bama.

If you were not an LSU fan, who would you pick?

Do you honestly believe that "very good" football teams are impacted by the opposing teams fans?

We of course know that crowd noise can impact communication. In addition, college FB is a roller-coaster of emotion and momentum. However, really good teams simply are not impacted by this IMHO.

Hasn't LSU historically played better against Bama in T-town vs. Tiger Stadium anyway?

I've never seen LSU talked about as much as I have this season on all national publications. The insecurity of our fanbase used to be laughable....now it's just outright annoying and uncalled for.

Not worried - but it is not going to be a blowout. This game will be close and go back and forth all night long. Just be ready for the emotional roller coaster that is endemic with these kinds of games.

WHO CARES???

This is not a talent or beauty contest where the viewers pick the winner.

As long as our team and coaches don't share their opinions it JUST DOESN'T MATTER.

In fact, as some have already pointed out, it may work in our favor if it motivates the team.
