To answer the original question, yes it has subsided. Miles is here for quite a few years and there is nothing anyone can do about it, the-not-so-wiazrdly-one is finally gone, and it is january. Things will pick back up. Come september there could be a major qb controversy, we will find out if Crouton was the major play calling problem, and also personel playing time as well. Miles is moving in the right direction though.

I think for the first time since Cholly Mac people look at Miles and think "That's OUR coach. He WANTS to be here, he is PROUD to be here, he is a TIGER," and it makes them proud to be a Tiger.

When I express disappointment that LSU has only won a single SEC champiopnship under Miles

You do know that LSU has as many SEC titles in the last 6 years as any school in the SEC west and as many as 11 of the 12 SEC schools...right???

It's the SEC not the ACC or the Pac 10.

And you do know that LSU has more SEC west wins than any other school in the wast in the last 6 seasons and LSU has more 11 wins seasons and more Top 8 final rankings that ANY school in the SEC for the last 6 seasons...right???

As to the "anti-Miles talk", it's still here but dang its some weak chit.

Since the Miles announcement, I haven't seen any anti-Miles posts. Cautious optimism? Acceptance? New OC? Whatever it is, I'm sensing a whole new optimism on the Rant. The pendulum has swung to the Posi-Tigers!

They are in a deep state of depression because of the 7 year contract.

LSU has won the West Twice in 6 years. Bama TWICE in 4 years. LSU has finished 3rd Three years in a row in the SEC west and our offense ranked among the worst in College football 2 years in a row. Thank the Lord for Chavis and that big contract

yes it has subsided.

We are still in the midst of OC hunting.

We are quite in the midst of recruiting.

so, few feel the need to soil our nest.

We shall see. Getting rid of OC Crowton was a great balm for many.

I'll man up and say I was an anti-Miles fan. I cannot speak for anyone but me. I never liked the hire. I believed that we could have done much better at that time. I'm not silenced because of winning 11 games and settling for a non BCS bowl against aTm. For what ever reason, LSU was as close to going 6-6 as winning 11 games. The fans that I know are long time LSU fans; they are not front runners from 2003 as there are many of those.

What has silenced my anti-miles comments? The combination of playing underclassman and cutting bait with Crowton has silenced this Miles critic until the end of the 2011 season. Observing Miles from the cotton bowl, through the Michigan ordeal, to how he handled Crowton leaving. Is a contributor. I give credit where deserved and he was very professional in how he handled Crowton's departure. Class act for sure

These idiots would complain if Miles won 7 BCS championships in a row after going for the 8th and losing by a safety lol

Your analogy about grades is totally wrong. In that class everyone with the "talent" can make an A. Your expectations would be different if the teacher only awarded 1 A for the entire class. There may be lots of students with A talent but someone is getting the C, D & F.
