They will be back ... have no fear. The difference now is that he ain't goin' nowhere. There ain't gonna be no Alleva letters. He's the man and LSU will sink or swim with him. You either suck it up and deal with it or find another team.

Without question. Should we win the SEC and go 14-0 and win the NC some of these guys just won't let themselves enjoy it. First thing they'll post is about the 2005 Tennessee game, 'should have won it all in 2006' or clock managment. And I'm sure "the SEC was down",too.

I doubt that. If we go 14-0 I don't think a single person will do that. Maybe I'm underestimating them though...

No, you want Miles to fail and if that means LSU 'failing',too you don't care. We could have been 14-0 if you take the 8-5 route. Sure,Auburn could have punched one in late, but we were tied 17-17 at midfield with under 9:00. Darn sure could have won that one,as well as the Arkansas game.

To only dwell on the negative and pick apart any success is not being a "realist".

How are you realists if you judge him by what could have happened and not what did happen?

In this case, what could have happened is not the reality of what happened. Therefore, you're not being real, you're using your false scenarios and "what ifs" to determine what other outcomes were possible. In the end, those situations did not happen. Therefore you're not being a "realist".

Face it, you DO have a sense of entitlement. Within your post there is no mention of the hyper-competitiveness of the SEC, Florida/Alabama/Auburn, the difficulty of the SEC, our QB difficulties, the specifics of schedules for various teams, our LUCK in being able to go 5-3 in 01 and win an SEC title, etc.

There is no sense of "entitlement." That's just a bizarre argument. When your son comes to you with a "C" in math, and you tell him you are disappointed and that he should study harder to make an "A," do you do that because you feel that you are "entitled" to a son who earns "A's," or do you do it because you recognize that your son has the talent to make an "A" and you want him to be excellent, the best person he can be?

When I express disappointment that LSU has only won a single SEC champiopnship under Miles, it isn't because I believe I am "entitled" to anything. Rather, it is because I know that LSU has the recruiting base, facilities, and other attributes necessary to be consistently excellent. We can win the SEC more often than once every six years. I want LSU to be the best program it can be.

This isn't hard to grasp unless you have a particular agenda.

Now, maybe you are one of those unfortunate souls who truly does believe that LSU can't do any better than one SEC title every six years, maybe you fall in the school of thought that regards LSU as mired in middle tier of the SEC for all eternity. I don't.

Finally, your assertion that NOBODY can "dominate" the SEC is belied by recent history. Bama under Saban had back to back undefeated regular seasons in the SEC. More generally, Saban has won three SECCG's in his last eight seasons in the SEC. Florida under Meyer won two SECCG's/NC's in a span of three years. Even Auburn has won two SEC titles since 2004. This clearly demonstrates that is is possible to win multiple SEC titles in a short span of time. That is all I am asking Miles to do.

Okay, you make some good points. Still, could you even enjoy the Cotton Bowl ? It sounds like you were too mad that LSU let you down to even watch the game. That's what I don't understand ,the either we win the SEC or the year was a failure mentality.

Nobody will complain about 14-0, and that is a fact.

This is the typical lame response from those rantards who are so overcome in their adulation for Miles that they have devolved into complete irrationality.

That 'rantard' argument goes both ways when it comes to Miles. "Rantards" also refuse to give Miles credit for anything, too.

Choctaw, I know you are more reasonable than this and are just trying to be provocative, here. Surely, you can't believe that the Miles critics, of which I am one, would try to pick apart an undefeated season.

Sadly, the Rant has become so polarized on this issue, it's starting to resemble the old CNN show "Crossfire", where people argued for the sake of arguing and representatives from either side refused to concede such basic tenets as the sky is blue or water is wet.
