Better hitters. They are on a high to get this far. The Tigers had better take them serious the rest of the games!

Havent they already made several errors in the field. Seems like they have thrown several balls away at 1st. I dont think they are better in the field, or at he plate. I havent seen enough of their pitching to honestly evaluate but their pitcher yesterday was good early. I seriously doubt they have better than Gausman but I will wait and see. Hard to believe they have more depth at pitching but again lets see.

Yeah, that was our #2 vs. their #3 yesterday people. They have more offensive talent than LSU, by far. From what I can tell, every spot in their lineup #1-9 was a better hitter than LSU's guy.

At this point it would be hard to say their pitching is anything but as good as ours. We're tied at 4 in the 12th. Neither pitched their ace. They've scored off our top reliever as well as our closer. We've scored off their relief as well. Pitching is a wash ( no pun intended) head-to-head at this point.

Their top to bottom hitting yesterday seemed fairly typical of their season. They're solid. Our late inning homer heroics weren't typical of our power this season. But, hey, I ain't mad.

That was their #2 and he went 7 giving up 3 hits and 1 run, and with out the bumbling in the field behind him his numbers would be better. No one needs to rag on SB, they are a great team. This might come down to Eades in game 3 and SB can make him pay if he comes out and has yet another inconsistent start, but first need to find a way to finish game 1 for a W and then let KG go to work. It is hard to explain why LSU goes to sleep at the plate for such long stretches and how they continue to find a way to earn W's.

Thankfully Nola kept battling yesterday and kept LSU in it. Watching Mark Appel last night, the second pitcher taken in the draft, and he just couldn't get it going and handed FSU that game. College hitters gonna hit, pitchers are lucky if they show up with 90% of their stuff in any given start.

I agree. The 8th inning : two on with nobody out,I know the freshman couldn't get the bunt down but to compound the failure to send the player from second base (he was out before he half way down the line)was unbelievable. We weren't hitting for shite and to take us out of a possible big inning astounds me. We are very lucky that all of a sudden the homerun bats came out. Maybe the rain delay will help break the back and forth scoring that was going on yesterday.

Our hitters just aren't that good...
The most amaazing thing about yesterday's game was that LSU hit a few balls hard with two strikes. LSU's batters are usually swinging so defensively with two strikes that they pray for a Texas leaguer or seeing-eye ground ball. I cringe at the frequency with which LSU batters take first pitch belt high fastballs.
