I would hope they would.

I would hate to see them miss out on millions because of some freak accident in another year at college

I just don't see it with Mingo

Guy isn't that productive. I think he needs to put on a little bit of weight and stay another year

Even with him being projected as an OLB in a 3-4

I think he could add ten pounds and try to maintain his speed

It would be difficult to give up that money for a shot at another ring.

Although if they all decided to return, our defense would be the best in the nation hands down.

Mingo has unreal athletic ability. Teams are going to be lining up to put him at 3-4 OLB

Mingo will be a freak in the NFL. He can get paid while he's bulking up.

If you can be guaranteed a first-round draft grade, you gotta go.

Mingo is only going to help his draft stock in the combine. The guy is a freak athlete.

Sam has the name recognition along with his pure drive and love for the game.

I think they are both great players. Montgomery was better than he was last yr, Mingo was not. Do you think they get better playing at the next level? Maybe, Maybe not!

Sam should go, Mingo should stay.

Andrew Luck and Matt Barkley did and they were #1 picks. I don't know why LSU players should jump to NFL as soon as they have a good season.

Just about every scouting service has Mingo rated ahead of Montgomery. Both Kiper and Scouts, Inc have Mingo top 10.

Draft "experts" love to group think. They aren't the ones that will be sitting there with a pick in the teens and see Mingo is still a ways off from NFL LB bulk (can he get there?) and will see that he didn't even accomplish his job at a great level in college yet. A 230lb pass rush specialist that didn't even rush the passer that well? Would you risk a top20 pick on him? If you say yes, you are qualified to be either Mel Kiper or Al Davis.

And as a cross position comparison: Taylor Mays S for USC who was rated by Kiper and others as an easy top 15 pick after his junior year. He was rated by those experts solely on reputation and athletic ability. But Mays showed just ok ball instincts and couldn't make the big play at the college level. So Mays inquired after his Junior year to find out where he would be picked and found out the experts were generous without the on the field production. I have a feeling Mingo will hear the same.
