DEFINITELY not ready to give up on JJ.
Look at these career progressions:
Jamarcus Russell
Redshirt Freshman year 50% completions 1,053 yds 9 td 4 int 127 rating
Redshirt Sophomore year 60.5% completions 2,443 yds 15 td 9 int 136.6 rating
Redshirt Junior year 68% completions 3,129 yds 28 td 8 int 167 rating
Jordan Jefferson
True Freshman year 49% completions 419 yds 4 td 1 int 112.9 rating
True Sophomore year 62% completions 1,984 yds 16 td 6 int 137.8 rating
So, by your logic, I could get Ryan Leaf's and Peyton Mannings stats from College put them together and say that both are going to be NFL superstars...Cause thats what your doing...and thats what other dipshits like Roaad and Sammmobile, predjudicetger, are trying to say...
Hell, id love to see the kid turn into Heisman Trophy winner but it aint gonna happen...

Like I said and Chicot said, you cant back up your argument so you try to attack me personally and no one is buying it..I called you what you are and the truth hurts, all three of you. All three of you are nothing but a bunch of black guys wanting to have JJ play QB because he is black...I could give two shits what color he is, I have said a million times that I wished that he could be the guy to lead us to the promise land but I know that he isnt and dont want to waste two years of not having a shot to win it. Again, I sincerly hope that I am wrong b/c nothing would make me happier than to see our tigers succeed. But you still put your race before your argument...and that is racisim.

Oh for fricks sake a-hole. No one's taking up for him because he is black. HOWEVER, thanks for pointing yourself out to be the obvious racist in this thread. Next time just come out and say it from the start and things will go much smoother for you. I'd expect a Psychologic Engineer (NASA) that played in the big leagues (Japan) to have a little common sense. Sheesh.
Oh and

If he doesn't, what QB on LSU's roster does?
I don't know but Lee and JJ have proven they don't....lets try someone who hasn't confirmed they don't(barring a for less physical talent dropoff from previous 2)
totally agree...

JJ has the advantage in the bolded stats, not to mention that he was a year younger than JR. Not sure how a NASA engineer could miss that. Maybe dumbasses like him are the reason that the Space Shuttle Columbia was in a million pieces 30 seconds after takeoff?

Damn is right! Easy to get a 62% completion percentage when you're thowing 3 - 4 yard passes. Not that impressive.
Also, where does it show in those stats about the number of unnecessary sacks taken? (not talking about the ones where either had no chance of throwing because of piss poor blocking. Talking about the ones where the QB thinks he is still in the green no-contact jersey and has 5 minutes to throw the ball)
If you are comparing these numbers then that is Jamarcus in his 4th year vs JJ in his 2nd year. Not a fair comparison.
And you asked about unnecessary sacks taken. How about unforced turnovers (if I remember correctly Jamarcus was still having fumbling issues well into his redshirt junior year. There were times when he would literally just drop the ball without any defender around. There was also the Florida and Tennessee games that year where he was a turnover machine)?

wrong
his average pre-pass is 7.2 yards.
Colt McCoy's 7.5

I think he'll be much better next year, but if we don't have a good O-line it won't matter much.
I couldn't agree more. It is hard to be a good QB when the OL is so shitty that the poor kid's life is flashing before his eyes every time the fricking ball is snapped. Hell, Archie Manning could relate with the poor kid when Manning was with New Orleans.
