I've watched clips from Texas A&M, Bama, Georgia and Florida and even Miami all coaching their players hard, telling them they don't want to hear complaining about throwing up and that they need to get used to being banged up instead of expecting to feel fresh every game.

Conversely, it seems like Ed's fall practice is some attempt to not be as soft on them as he was last year but then he's giving any player that has a minor bump days off.

Does the team have the same intensity that it did after the Troy loss and the Duke Riley ars3 chewing or before? I'm seriously asking, anyone that's been to the practices … are they laid back or is there a sense of urgency?

Why even ask questions about him anymore? He’s not head coach material and everyone but our AD can see that

Newsflash, he's not a quality coach. He can't handle the job and most decisions he makes are wrong.

That's the problem with hiring a coach that's not qualified.

Don't let them get to you dude. It isn't often that we get a poster on here who has actually seen all the LSU practices in person and film of the other teams practices and has made exhaustive studies to prove your point.

I’m still surprised I haven’t seen Einsminger coaching the QBs at all.

I hope he's a better coach than you are a poster.

Absurd.

Half the team is Knicked because of a very physical camp. Once the season starts is when he slacks off some. He’s been around and to know how a camp should be run. I’m worried about the other noise. Is there way O didn’t know any of this stuff regarding Taylor Ingram & Davis? I won’t be surprised if this is looked into closer.

I made up the fact that tons of players are missing from practices daily per media reports?
I made up that it was reported that Ed O came in and reduced practice length etc as interim?
I made up that there were concerns about intensity after the troy loss and that Duke Riley went off on the team after watching them practice?

Solid response to the thread.

I believe CEO is still looking for that happy medium as a HC. You don't want to ride your players into the ground before they've even played a game.

In order for there to be competition you need depth. Can't have depth with injured players.

They have high-intensity phases throughout practice but makes no sense to go balls to the wall every day. He did that at Ole Miss.

1. Why play someone who is knicked up 2 weeks before the season starts? As soon as he does and they get injured, you will be the same one bitching that he pushed them too hard at practice.

2. He reduced practice length because it was quite obvious by season's end our team, as a unit, was worn down. Why push them so hard during practice that they can't perform at 100% come game time?

3. -shrugs-

He held 80 play scrimmage before a game during a rain delay at Ole Miss also. They lost the game. Who in their right mind would think that's a good idea?

Head coaches do not coach in a vacuum. Do you know how many coaches on this staff give input based on their own experiences with other staffs and head coaches? Do you think O might borrow from Pete Carroll etc.? I doubt the practices, the tempo, the structure is that much different than many other SEC or other big conference teams especially when you figure the number of coaches on the staff who have NFL experience.

Is Saban being tough enough? He let players who were busted with stolen guns and drugs play.
