Alleva has to go

This needs to be top priority. The guy is totally incompetent.

The only discussion worth hearing about basketball is Collins Temple and Dale Brown along with Alleva admitting how wrong they were in lobbying for Jones and undoing the shite show they created.

That will never happens. Do you think Temple and especially Brown would ever bash one of their own guys?

Clean house, starting with Alleva. Not holding my breath on that, either.

Why do people think he won't be fired? The only reason Miles wasn't fired last year was money but Jones' contract is nothing compared to his.
i never trust Alleva to do the right thing.

Last season did a number on me.

This for me too tigerbait. I've never in my 40+ years as a fan been less invested in hoops and there have been many lesser talented and capable team in that time, but witnessing what happened last year and the total implosion at the end really discouraged and saddened me.

I know I have not. I'll still watch the games on t.v. but I have not been to a game yet. Just can't muster the interest and that has never happened for me before.

When a team quits and you see multiple games when several players have no interest in competing...and many of those players our staff could not compel to give an honest effort are back this year, it's hard to give the unconditional love given in the past.

I will say Blakeney was one player who continued to bust it last year while most checked out. He earned my respect and I'm pulling hard for him because of that.

A shame that I have to celebrate one kid doing what they all should, but IMHO that's what we've been left to grasp onto in order to rationalize still watching.

Of course not. They will insist it is only the mean-spirited folks on social media that are the problem, their guy is building something it will just take time.

Their intentions likely are decent. They believe in their boy. They are blinded by that loyalty and genuine regard for him.

And therein lies the rub. Not enough folks who can make a difference care enough to weigh in and the ones who do are the ones who got CJJ hired.

And now with Victor out, well....CJJ got a bad break...a built in excuse to continue and give him more time.

I hate to say it, but it's as if I have blocked out LSU basketball. Right now, all I see is recruiting/NSD; after that, baseball & softball. Yes even softball over basketball- that is how much basketball has dropped in my view.

If Alleva was a capable AD, he'd fire CJJ at the end of the season and hire somebody like Dana Ford.

Instead, he will bungle the firing at the end of the season and will fire him three games into the 17-18 season and promote Randy Livingston to interim head coach, then hire him as head coach after beating Vandy and Ole Miss at the end of the year getting us into the NIT.

This will be his last year

Nah they will keep him around another.

Not going to be possible since Victor is now gone, those first 2 SEC games were must wins. Well we lost the home one so Wednesday night at Mizzoo were playing to try to salvage this season. I just don't see it happening. Jones will be gone after this year, you can count on it.
