I enjoy a 2-1 or 3-2 type game. Pitchers duals with solid defense and watching a team scrap to manufacture runs is what's it's all about.
Of course, I would enjoy watching a game with 10 HRs too.

Agreed the ncaa made it less exciting with the bats . It's a shame . At least go to wood . Then it would be fine . But still gotta love the tigers

the speed of the college game makes it 10x more entertaining than MLB to watch but i agree the game is definitely beginning to suffer with the loss of excitement from the long ball

If you can't enjoy Tiger baseball, I pity you.

Don't get me wrong, I like the team and all that, but the bats make the game pretty boring to me.
I'll probably watch a good bit more next season if the new balls work.
In a big park, it's pretty tough to watch.
But, the week in/week out games in the SEC are fine. If they adjust the ball, it will be even better.

It'll definitely get better next year. I still thoroughly enjoy it but the lack of power hitting has certainly taken a toll on the game.

No
I'm a baseball fan, and the game is fine. It would probably be a little more lively when they change the baseballs and I'm good with that.
You don't have to have a half dozen home runs to make the game interesting. You just have to hit the ball on the nose, like we were all taught in little league.

If I lived in BR, I'd go to games and get into it. I went over the the SEC championship game in Hoover in the spring.
BUT, I have not watched a whole inning of a baseball game of any sort on TV for at least 10 years, so the whole sport has become unwatchable to me.

Pitchers get rewarded for mistakes and bunt, steal, slide makes me yawn. Just being honest.

I've played it my whole life thru college. Umpired at every level till 5 years ago. A true student of the game and I "can't" watch this shite of a product.

real old school here..I still can't stand the "tink" of an aluminum bat as opposed to the "crack" of a wooden one

The "ping" of the 90s bats is better than all.

Same here.
The current situation isn't ideal, but isn't unwatchable. I remember the days in college basketball when they couldn't dunk, and we still enjoyed watching the game.
It's much different with the toned down bats but I love baseball and still enjoy the hell out of the game. I've seen some gems over the past couple of years.

I love baseball and LSU baseball in particular. But my enjoyment of the sport of college baseball has decreased with the dead bats.
I like power hitting in baseball. It's part of the game and an exciting part of the game. Power hitting doesn't mean home runs every at bat, but it also doesn't mean no home runs in a game either.
There are too many games being played with no home runs. That in and of itself is a sign that something is wrong. The long ball is something that is a core element of the game. And currently it is too rare for my taste in college baseball.

No. (watched every pitched FWIW).

09 was perfect. Now it kinda sucks to watch. It's pretty much sitting back waiting on walks, errors, and seeing-eye singles to score runs.
I'm not advocating for Gorilla ball to come back, but a power hitter should be able to have 15-20 HRs in a season. Nowadays, the top power hitters in the SEC have 8-10 HRs. That's just not enough.
It isn't just the HRs either. There are no more doubles to the wall in the gap or anything like the sort.
