I hear people in the media (and on here) saying O went 5-2 so give him a chance. Sad times at LSU if 5-2 is what we want to be.

Except for the Florida game, it was a good stretch with who they played.

Yes. We are an average program now, 5-2 finish is to be celebrated, now let's get those participation trophies ready for the banquet!

To be fair, he had to correct everything miles did wrong in one week before his season started

In their last seven games was Herman or Jimbo better?

To be fair, Coach O went 5-2 while assembling a staff (promoting Ensminger to OC) bringing in Pete Jenkins on such short notice and didn't have the benefit of having a full off-season of preparation, the advantage of having his own ideal Offensive Staff, or the benefit of implementing a new offensive scheme.

All in all, I think it's a remarkable job considering the circumstances.

Change your username to Sandy Vagina. It's more appropriate.

By this logic Southern has won 8 in a row, should we have been looking at Dawson Odums instead of Coach O?

Well according to the rant the players lost to Florida and playing bama close makes you head coach material

Well, he's 11-4 as intermin HCs at USC and LSU since coaching at OM.

How does that sound?

Other than Bama, the SEC sucked arse this year. What a shitty LSU football season. 5-3 in the league is awful

Last 5 years LSU has been an average program. Embrace it

You forgot to add in he did all of this using Les Miles offensive philosophy and without having his own coaching staff or an off-season to prepare. Then again, the Florida lost was about poor execution. Regardless, he's HC material because he bounces back from a loss and dominates opponents a week later.

Would you have posted this in Guice breaks into the endzone on the last play against UF...

6-1 would have been impressive and everyone here knows it.

Not making excuses for the UF loss, but give the man a whole offseason to put together a working staff and go through spring/summer.

Please change your name to "I'm a Moron"

The guy turned the offense 180 degrees. Give him a chance.

Nick Saban at LSU:
2000:8-4
2001:10-3
2002:8-5
2003:13-1
2004:9-3

5-2 looks pretty good for an interim head coach

To prepare for Mizzou, sure. But he had about 9 weeks on the job as the season progressed. Plenty of time to implement new strategies.

I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I'm sure 5-2 is better than Miles' late season record over the last few seasons. So, that's something. I mean, at least we complete passes and make first downs now.

Have you been watching LSU this season? Of course, he implemented new strategies which was the reason why LSU broke records in 5 out of 7 games and broke three records alone in the A&M game (622 yards second most on the road) Guice 285 yard rushing performance, and first time in LSU history to have a QB throw more than 300 yards and a RB to rush for more than 200 yards in a game.

If you were expecting a whole new strategy, that would be next to impossible. Regardless, he held his own and bounced back from losses.
