Monster OLine. Stack the box and let the young corners do work.

Sounds easy...

Iowa is going to have to pass to beat us. The question is how skilled are they outside?

@Nchawk LSU is a run first team, but after the hiring of OC cam Cameron, he has opened the offense up and really let our qb (mettenberger) throw the ball around. Our starting hb, Jeremy hill is a beast and can manage 3-7 yards against a stacked box with a pretty powerful o-line. Our defense has a lot of talent but also a lot of youth, meaning various mistakes throughout much of the secondary. D-line is young but explosive at times. With our QB mettenberger out I look for the freshman Jennings to be a pass first QB but to take off for the occasional scramble. Sorry this was written poorly as it's kind of late. I expect a 31-24 LSU victory in a very physical match, and our freshman QB stepping up to the plate.

LSU better hope for clear weather as well. I could see this Oline doing work against a weak defensive front four if the conditions are sloppy.

Last time we met Iowa's Hawkeyes, Nick Saban was playing his last game as LSU's coach. And Iowa beat the Tigers in a Clemson-like upset. I wonder what Les Miles will have ready for us, and for them, new QB era and all. Won't be much game film for them to prep on.

Iowa? They sucked this year and almost got beat by a horrible Northwestern team. LSU will stomp a mud hole in their arse! Iowa, what a joke, I'd rather the Tigers play Nebraska or better yet Michigan or a real BIG team.

Remember that we have a young freshman QB playing.

We lost to ole piss, Arkansas who was 0-7 Out played us. So no use and looking at a teams record or who they played , who they beat, who they lost too. If lsu will play lsu football and our so called coach will get the team prepared , lsu wins know question, we have the offensive players to hang with anybody in the country. , so they just need to do it!!!

They are freaking huge up front.

Ark, Bama, Auburn and prob another SEC team we played are just as big or bigger.

It is a concern, but not that much. Big can mean slow also.

That is a concern.

I watched Iowa play Ohio State and they played tough-grind it out football. They had great success throwing to their huge tight end who took one to the house to go ahead for the lead.

Ohio State came back and won by 10 but Iowa really should have had that game if they weren't so boring in the run game.

Not a very fancy team, they are going to line up and try to smash us.

LSU could very well lose as we won't have Mett to sling it on third downs.

Don't overlook this team.

Like Clemson, they've lost every decent game they've played and looking to prove something. Hopefully the team, you know, gives a shite this time.

My buddy said it best...being told we're playing in the Outback is like being told "we're having salad for dinner." Being told we're playing Iowa equals, "...and there's no dressing."

Yea, all those teams ran the ball effectively against us too. Miles teams are so unpredictable, plus we are throwing in a Freshman at QB. Of course, the last time we had a Freshman start a bowl game we destroyed Ga Tech.

How do you guys line up against two good receiving big tight ends? Duzey is the guy who housed the play against OSU, CJ Fiedorowicz is the other tight end. We have played a few three TE sets this year to line up and run and play action off it.

And the Iowa fans have already said the same thing about us...
But sure, I would rather have played Texas, Michigan, So. Cal or Nebraska, but at the same time, we can look at this as the revenge game for that horrible last second loss to them during Satan's last game as coach for us...

Ok. Then...

Really? What about Iowa's defense? I don't think we will need Matt to sling it on third downs. Why? Cause I don't think Iowa's defense is as good as their offense. We will just as likely wear down Iowa's defense.
