Wade can build LSU into what Billy Donovan built Florida. Saban is dominating at Alabama and O is playing musical chairs with his coaches. We have an opportunity to lock down one of the best young coaches in basketball and become a perennial power.

Pay wade NOW. He makes 2.5. Give him 4.

While we can all appreciate how well Wade has done, I have no idea why people are trying to force this payment thing right now...

The man got a huge raise coming to LSU and at some point we will pay him more, but why right now? He has a lot of guaranteed money coming his way. Give it a couple years then up the deal but no one is coming in to pay his buyout right now... It's far too large.

The only reason you pay him now is if another program comes a knocking. I don't believe that is happening just yet.

Can we at least see if he can take LSU to the NCAA tourney first.
I know it's only a matter of when.

The salary thing is fine, and that will come. However, I think we need to look more toward investing in the infrastructure, so to speak, around the program. If Wade wants renovations to the PMAC, done. If Wade wants to up the budget for support staff, done. If Wade wants to expand basketball operations facility, done. These are the things that show long term commitment. The salary stuff will come in time.

Basketball will never generate the revenue that even a bad football team will. In light of this I think you should maybe explore your understanding of "invest".

The season is still a bit young, but if everything continues he may be one of the hot names in coaching this offseason.

He certainly appears to be the real deal and hopefully LSU can lock him down for awhile and make him Dale Brown 2.0

Now this is 100% the way to go in keeping Wade here. He has to know there is support for the program.

Exactly...that's why I purchased season tickets and plan to make almost every game.

It's what the rant does best. Spend other people's money.
