Waze has the Cookie Monster voice currently and it kinda sounds like Coach O. Y’all be safe bawwz and Geaux Tigers!

You were smart to wake up early and get started. My inlaws are in Atlanta, we know the drive well.
Always go thru Montgomery. After ATL airport stay left at the split.
Enjoy. Thanks for representing the Tigers.

Why? I've been making the drive multiple times a year since 1996, and I now go exclusively bham (459 around). It's a few miles longer but I consistently find it less stressful.
RE Montgomery route: Something about that stretch of I-10 is particularly awful. And I've been pulled over twice for absolutely no reason on that route. No ticket. Just harassed (nicely, once). And I'm white.
But, regardless of bham or mont, the worst part of the drive (assuming you time Atlanta traffic) is Hells Highway aka I12. If there were an efficient way to avoid that then the trip would be pretty enjoyable if boring.
Oh and now it's fun to go through T-town donning LSU garb.

I don't understand this either. Are you referring to Langford Pkwy? If so, you can just stay right and just don't actually take Langford, and it pops you back on 85. It often saves time.
And the next "split" is I20.
I'm just happy I'm taking MARTA to the game. I have a very small circumference of Atlanta driving, except for the occasional requisite Costco run.
I think Tigers will get it closer to 60-40 tomorrow, btw.

There is a Jamaican restaurant in Union Springs just after the airport where I had the best meal of my life.

Best part is when he warns of police ahead, then says “think he wants a cookie?”

There’s also a voice by the guy that does Cajun dubs out of Lafayette. It’s pretty good but he curses so beware of you got chirrins in the car.

If i10 is gridlocked I’ll go thru Bham but I hate that route. I knew A dozen Baton Rouge natives in Atlanta and we all used Montgomery route exclusively.
Yes, stay left at Langford, interstates are usually labeled much better. That fork comes up quickly and people often get confused at the last second.

Yeah, Atlanta is famous for the yellow "exit only" sign being over a lane that isn't actually exit only (and vice versa).
I used to coin toss Montgomery v Bham but since we had a kid we always stop to see family near Meridian so Bham route wins now. Also, I20 is usually easier for us on, off and thru ATL.
Anyway, I would just fly but it may save an hour by the time you deal with ATL and getting to/from BTR.

How do I find this?
