Beginning with that season, LSU has played 38 games at home. The average number of no-shows for these games is slightly more than 14,000.

The number of people who do not show up doubles in non-conference games as opposed to Southeastern Conference contests. In this stretch, LSU is averaging a little more than 9,000 no-shows at SEC games and slightly less than 20,000 no-shows at non-conference games.

It poured before and during for this one.

Factor in 4-6" of rain, very limited free parking, and a less than desirable opponent, LSU will be lucky to have only 20K no shows this weekend.

I'm well aware of the amount of threads with people complaining about this. I just thought it was interesting to see numbers regarding this topic, rather than some poster's opinion.

Only posted it to show the actual numbers.. not to pick a side, although that is always a possibility when something objective is posted.

I find it very hard to believe the stadium has never had 90,000 in it.

No shows happen when you have expensive season tix and lack luster games. This year it's been a pretty bad issue, almost like NFL pre season for a lot of teams. Thankfully with this new playoff system, I can see that stopping.

Well, since 2007, when ticket scanners were installed at the gates.

I'll get the superfan ball (t)Rolling.

The more fools who no show behind me, the more I can stand up without having to tell the person behind me that if he doesn't like it he can go DIAF.

Well, I think it's interesting, too.

I would have never thought we did not reach 90k against Bama in 2010.

This is ammo for the anti-student crowd though:

quote:

"The student section is the largest area where people don't show up," Broussard said. "If the level of play is not attractive, they will not come. It is interesting to see that that the club level and the suites have the highest attendance level."
