I'm usually not a fan of using bowl game records to judge the strength of conferences, but using the upper tier bowls should show a lot. Those are usually pretty competitive games. We all know that Bama was better than Utah and that Auburn was better than UCF. It just depends on which team really wants to be there.

Oh I know Roger. Hell, osu has a better program than Missouri. Baylor and vandy are both awful. He built his case off those wins. Lol. They were the worst conference overall.

I'm not at all a fan of bowl games usually either. Look at Missouri this year...qb sits out. Boom, auto loss. Ga would likely beat Texas 8/10. They came out uninspired.

But, the top 7 sec teams produced 6 wins, most of them wins against top 15 teams. Kentucky beat Penn St, Florida rolled Michigan, despite being heavy underdog. Auburn wasn't great this year, beating a bowl eligible Purdue wasn't shocking. Beating them by 50 was. They were 3 point favorites. A&m destroyed nc state by 40. The sec placed 6 teams in top 15, 9 in too 35. That's VERY strong. Yet, your buddy said all-time weak. If that isn't a troll, then I truly feel sorry for the family.
