Great hitters have great batting eyes. They can work counts, hit with 2 strikes, and can recognize pitches better than others. It’s trainable but only to a point. At this point of development you either have it or you don’t.

Indeed it’s true but bat speed without recognition is fruitless.
Recognition skills are still the key to hitting.
