Indiana is the worst D1/FBS program of all time and they have made the playoffs in Cignetti’s 1st two years.
..and here we were, going backwards in year 4 under Kelly.

And I'll tell you why....
As OP noted we regressed. Nothing matters other than that, including their SOS.
We went backwards. They went forwards. Their SOS only matters in determining how far forwards they went. Not that we indeed went backwards.
