More telling is the number of up & coming coaches that are mentioned all the time b/c their teams perform at a consistently high level
e.g. Patterson, Peterson, Harbaugh, etc

No Miles.
There are many reasons Miles isn't mentioned (current salary, not the least of which). But it's sure surprising that he's never mentioned any more (even with the absurd cash being thrown around).

I actually have cooled off and am tired of beating a dead horse bashing LM. I was merely asking a question and to answer your question, I have heard a few of those names mentioned in speculation for possibilities other places. I really dont care what you think is cool and I dont have friends on this board so that isnt why I posted. Just tried to post a thread I was thinking about that was different than the same topics that are here everyday lately.

I know there are logistical reasons whyh LM would never go anywhere, but in this day of internet rumor and speculation too many people are recklessly throwing out names hoping to get attention knowing they are fabricating facts and it says something to me about the perception of our coach nationally that he is never mentioned.

And dont kid yourself, even in these lean economic times, there will always be somebody willing to pay more if they think its worth it.
