LSU DB Dwayne Thomas says 'we're going to dominate' Alabama

quote:

“I really see us dominating this offense. I really see us dominating this team,” the senior defensive back told The Advocate. “This is the year. We’ve been letting them off the hook for the last couple of years. This is my senior year. We’re going out with a bang. It’s time for us to bring that win back.

“We’re going to be at home. I feel like we have the edge to take it to them, and we’re going to take it to them. I feel like we’re going to dominate this game.”

The stats tell the story pretty well, a solid starter during his time at LSU but he absolutely had the game of his life against Bama that year to back up his talk. Unfortunately he did not speak for the offense that night, just the defense. Maybe if he had played offense we would have scored

Probably one of the best games I've ever seen from a defensive player. He was a animal that night and played his heart out. Great guy btw.

He’s just getting started on his coaching career. Currently an Analyst at Duke after being on Coach O’s staff for the past 3 years.

He’s a Frank Wilson guy so I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes his way back to LSU eventually.

That game should have been 0-0 going into OT. Both of Bama’s scores were ref-aided.

It should've. But we could've played that game 10 times over and im not sure LSU is scoring a point.

Defense did its part that night. 0-0 going into the 4th whereas Alabama had been a machine.

The hold that was clear as day for the td run was frustrating

Which one? There were at least 3 instances of clear holding on that play

I will go to my grave saying that Jalen Hurt’s knee wasn’t down on the goal line but the dumbass officials blew the play dead. There was no indisputable evidence that he was down before he fumbled and it should have been a TD for Duke Riley and we would have won.

Bo Scarbrough hold on Lewis Neal was the most egregious hold to me. It was super clear from where I was sitting not as obvious from the television copy

Dude was in beast mode all night. Thats how you backup your talk. If hardheaded Les had even a decent offense we should have beat Bama at least 3 or 4 times in the 12-19 span.

There always seems to be that one player on defense that unexpectedly straight balls against bama.

Dwayne Thomas
Lamar Louis
