Here’s the thing, Lee outperformed Jefferson by miles throughout the entire season. Furthermore, when Les’ stupid arse did put one of the worst quarterbacks in LSU history out there the offense was shite.

Mett was a better quarterback than Lee and Jefferson to be sure, but Jefferson was far and away the worst of the bunch.

This was definitely a weird bowl game. Has college football changed this much since then? This game seems like decades ago.

No argument about that from me, just they had more overall success. The 2011 defense was one of the best in CFB history so it’s be pretty hard to not be more successful.

Ah yes, when Paul Johnson said something along the lines of being disappointed in the quality of Ga Tech’s opponent when the bowl pairings were announced. Such an idiotic thing to say on so many levels. I enjoyed watching them get their asses kicked last night, too.

He did. So, I pose two questions:

1) Would you talk down about Francois considering it was such a good season?

2) Would LSU have made the National Championship game without Jefferson?

They certainly could have made it without Framcois that season.

Not every player is the same on a great team. There are elite players, great players, good players, mediocre players and even bad players all that play. There's no issue in pointing those things out. The original comment was people thinking Jefferson was the next big thing after that GT bowl game, and that obviously never coming close to fruition, nothing that was said there was incorrect, and because he was a part-time starter on a 13-1 team doesnt make him a great or elite player in reference to the original comment.

Yeah probably, we still had Jarrett Lee.

We can agree to disagree then because I don't think there's any chance that LSU wins 13 games, an SEC championship or a title game spot without Jefferson. He was a good LSU QB. LSU didn't lose that championship because of him and it seems that's where some if the Jefferson hate comes from. In general of course, not necessarily in this thread.

Jefferson was better than Lee, even in 2011. Jefferson was a better passer (higher regular season QB rating) and an immensely better runner. The offense performed better with Jefferson at QB, and the running game was indisputably better with Jefferson at QB.

Actually the best stretch of offense all season came after GOTC, with JJ as starter.

He was a great Tiger, but only an idiot would think LSU even makes the SECCG with Lee vs Bama.
It's only the truth, embrace it.

LSU didn’t stand a chance agains that triple option.

Jordan Jefferson was going to take LSU into infinity and beyond.
