I agree to an extent BUT at the same time if those guys didn't fit his philosophy, why aren't his guys that DO fit it....not playing?

who said they were horrible? i said that many from that class are no longer on the team. and that class makes up much of the starters on the team pretty much blowing what flask was talking about out the water.

oh and you are right, that class was amazing.....thats why as juniors and seniors they are 8-8 in the sec. MAN WHAT AN AMAZING CLASS.

Did you see how the Alabama QB played? He looks way better than JJ, but his line actually blocked. Now that would be nice if LSU could generate a line that blocks...Imagine the possibilities. Hey, wasn't LM an O-lineman in college, I believe at Meeshigann.....

Because Miles believes that after four years of being in his system, he could have made the SENIORS into the players that he wanted them to be upon recruitment.

Good players can lose if they have an inexperience QB and bad defensive coordinators on there team

i'll say i agree with you. to me, miles deserves time to turn this team into a championship team again. he has challenged for the west 4 out of 5 yrs and won it twice. it's difficult to be better than that. saban has one it one out of 3 and meyers has won it (east) 3 out of 5, with richt and fulmer the other 2. i believe the future will be bright. not easy to win the west or the sec, though.

Those were recruits from Miles' first year recruiting. This is an extreme example, but a convincing one.

Ole Miss recruited 37 kids last year and signed just over half. When you're a new coach, you take what you can get and deal with the ramifications of who you were able to sign later. If we were to see that kind of turnover from recruits in 07, 08, or 09, I'd be worried.

who's fault is that? i believe the HC hires the assistants, correct me if Im wrong though. If that true and the OC is responsible for QB development then doesnt the ultimate responsibility fall on the shoulders of Miles? Also why didnt miles recruit another qb in 06 after Alex Cate decommitted? maybe miles should have planned ahead.

Oh, right. He and the team got lucky against Arky.

I am sure LM is a fine person, but LSU should part ways with him. It is not working. Not likely to work. Look at Saban who arrived after LM did at LSU. He is on the cusp of winning his 2nd NC will LM sit in BR running 2 minute drill simulations...

Why not give them 4 years of PT so they would be even better?

Show me any QB who wants to stand behind JR, Flynn, and Perrilloux on the depth chart..

See out SEC record over the last two seasons. Do you really believe in "recruiting classes"? Are you still in the stock market? Buy and Hold?

Because if he'd have tried this, he would have been fired before year 4

His first "year" consisted of about two months. 06 was the first purely Miles recruiting class.

If anything, our record over the last two seasons supports the recruiting class argument. Particularly if we are able to go 10-2 or 11-1 next year.

Im just wondering, how did ole crappy coach Miles, almost beat lord saban in his house this year? And keep in mind we could have won had it not been for Patrick Peterson being out on the long screen play because of cramps, JJ getting hurt, Charles Scott getting hurt, and the non interception call? Im not saying we should have won, but if Saban is THAT much better then Miles, then how did he come that close to losing head to head?

Oh yeah, and had we not had an inexperienced QB that day throw 2 or 3 picks, we would have won that year. Did we win? No. But did we show we can deffinitly compete with them? Yes.
