The talent is here, all it needs is the right Coach to put it all together.

His successor here sustained the university's prestige for years, though it began to trend downward when his predecessor began to absolutely own him. The predecessor had built yet another bigger, stronger and more powerful empire.

Eventually when the successor was fired, he was replaced by a Louisiana native who, by all counts, was a miserable failure as a head coach in his one full time coaching gig at another division school...

And now the Louisiana native is on the cusp of upending the dynasty of the man who originally built it here at LSU and left to build another.
