Alabama went on to win the national championship that year.

No road game in the SEC is a sure thing. After our luck at Auburn the past 12 years, I'll take the W.

Was last night disappointing? Absolutely. But I took away two things from last night's game. One, the defense showed incredible resolve and intensity in the second half. They will keep us in every game if they continue to play like that. Two, most of our mistakes were self inflicted, and those can be corrected. I am hoping that the poor play of the offensive line was a result of inspired performance by Auburn's defense, which certainly was playing with a chip on its shoulder.

This is a very talented LSU team that is capable of winning the national championship. If the focus is there, this team will win lots of games.

Playing in a close game on the road is definitely something that can't hurt your team. It's a good experience even if you'd prefer to not have it.

I was very impressed by our defenses motor!
I believe most teams D's would have been gassed in that game. Depth and D wins championships!

LSU's defense is awesome. It will continue to prove its awesomeness. And...........there are few things better than a road win in the SEC.

I have made the same point several ti
es since the game but it was at bama.

We have retarded fans.

To many we don't have a chance to beat bama at home...I guess it will be the upset of the year when we beat them

This should be sent to all of the media and coaches. In 2009, Bama won this game 12-10 while being out gained and failing to score an offensive touchdown. That was a 3-4 Tenn. team under a first year coach. It was Bama's fifth SEC game that season, not their first. These type of games happen.

For a 4-0 LSU team to drop twice already without losing is ridiculous, when the teams that they have surpassing us have proved nothing either.

I will take it an unpopular step further...

Our fans need only to look to last year to learn the lesson that one poor performance by a team in a regular season game does not define a team as a whole or predict the finality of the season...

(9-6 anyone ???)
