Imagine if we would’ve landed Ryan Nielsen

That’s not a shot at Daronte at all but damn the Saints defense has been filthy since he became part of that organization. Especially the D Line.

I wonder if this is Daronte Jones defense or Ed Orgeron defense. We bring no pressure aside from a standard 4 man rush. We don’t disguise anything. Our defense is so basic and simplistic and any good offense will exploit it

Probably not a bad idea for Neilsen to have stayed in NO.

He could have been 1 and out this year at LSU

One simple phone call away from landing Nielsen.

Only one person to blame for that fiasco.

The Florida and Ole Miss will be some wake up calls on defense.

I dread Ole Miss and Bama back to back

We have no clue how Ryan Nielsen would be as a DC just like we had no clue of Jones. Both were/are NFL position coaches.

Ed has stated early and often for the record that he would be more involved in this year’s defense. I wondered yesterday if that has something to do with the communication breakdowns. Specifically, while O was yelling what to do from the sidelines, did that conflict with what Jones had called from the booth?

Like whose decision was it to go to a 4-man front to start the 4th to try to create more pressure but also be more vulnerable like in 2020? As opposed to staying in 3 man rush and allowing the short completions?

I just wonder who made that call
