Imagine how good LSU basketball could be if they played well early in games

Come from behind wins are nice, but it would be good to get a big lead and hold it occasionally.

Just imagine if we do not blow FSU game
...and beat Villanova following day. We could have still lost to Houston and we would be 4th in country.

Have you watched this team before today? We’ve gone up big early and almost blew a few games. We did blow the Houston game that way. They need to play a complete game.

Odd, 3 of our last 5 games involved big come from behind victories. But that’s not a trend or anything.

It’s still crazy to me we could easily be 22-1 right now. We had the Houston, Florida State games. We pretty much had Arkansas at the end there too. OK state will easily be the worst game of the season.

How many wins did the Villanova in 2018 have that were come from behind? What about UNC in 2017? Nova in 2016?

You don't know cause it honestly doesn't matter. The important thing is closing out games and getting the win.

Look at the bright side, we're kicking arse now but if and when we do play a complete game more often, who out there can compete with our size/guard play?

19-4 and still a work in progress imo...

Or if we didn’t blow lead to Houston

Whoa now. We had a lead against FSU but never had that game. FSU had 22 offensive rebounds, including a big one at the end of the game after we had a 4 point lead and they missed a three. They simply killed us on the boards and it showed in the final score. They were never out of it.

Houston came back and took the lead with 8 minutes left in the game, and they held it until the end of the game. But we were up 10 at the half. So I guess we also have to worry about having leads at halftime

Essentially what I’m saying, but overly sensitive pussies on here view it as criticism. Basketball fans at LSU are very insecure snowflakes.

THIS

Tremont Waters stat line is nasty.

45 FG%, 15.6 Pts, 5.9 Ast, 3.2 Reb, 3.0 Stl (Only one other player in the entire country has better numbers than this thanks to that sick 3 steals per game average)

I think people get irritated with criticism
Of programs where you see progress but the same fans defend stagnation in other programs

You’re the only one calling people names in this thread. I was only pointing out that LSU has gone up big early on several teams this year only to have to scrap together a win at the very end. Yes, we would all love for LSU to play a complete game.

If it is warranted than they don't. But people get angry when someone points out a pointless matter about LSU having to come from behind to win games. As long as we are winning, that does not really matter.

Our stats do not make me want to panic either.

They kinda did all of it today. They took the lead halfway through the second half and didn’t let go.

I understand the slow start is frustrating but it’s nice to see the in-game adjustments that result in big comebacks.

But to your original statement...

We were up 10 against Houston at the half and we lost. (The final score is the only one that counts)
