This is actually all Les. Miles said earlier this season that he doesn't mind playing the basics of football. Defense and getting 3 when you can get it. I'm serious.
I think he got seriously spooked by those INTs in the redzone earlier in the season. FWIW, I'd rather try to pound it in from the 3 instead of passing it in virtually every case.... though I would say that after 2 times of it not working, I'd probably go with the 'toss reverse'

How many true freshman come in and start at elite programs? Maybe one or two a year?
They aren't ready for the speed of the games or the atmosphere. Just like the NFL, and high school. It takes them a year (for the average quarterback) to get used to the speed and atmosphere.

Also, in the sense that he's a quarterback coach, he coaches at a big time college, one of the best programs of all time, why exactly should he have to teach quarterbacks how to throw a ball or where to put the ball when they throw it? Shouldn't they already know how to do it?
Wow.. So why the frick does tiger woods have a swing coach. Man you're the definition of fricktard.

It is a joke of an offense. As for the kids executing- its hard to do when it isn't communicated or taught to you. There is a reason why Crowton fails everywehre he goes. He is nothing but a journeyman.

It isn't just his play calling. A lot of a coordinator's job takes place Sunday through Thursday. It is also obvious he can't coach a QB to save his life.

I'm sure the people at Oregon wish they had Crowton back instead of having to deal the offense they have now.

How exactly do we know that it isn't taught to them? We have no way of knowing, for all we know it could be pounded into their heads every waking second and they could just not get it.

Dude...that is not all there is to QB developement.
Maybe JLee got away with throwing off of his back foot because he was just that good. A good college QB coach teaches him that he can't get away with that in the SEC.
Maybe Jefferson got away with holding onto the ball for half an hour every play at Destrehan, becuase that team was so much better than every other team. A good QB coach teaches him that he's going to get killed in the SEC doing that shite.
It's not just a "getting used to the speed". It's reading defenses, understanding the offense, situational awareness, throwing mechanics, footwork, etc etc. Maybe one or two highschool QB's in teh NATION come in knowing this stuff at a good enough level to start as freshmen.

Then you have to try a different way to express what you want them to do. It's been three years... either Jefferson and Lee are both mental incompetents, or they haven't had a teacher who can effectively convey what he wants.
FWIW, Lee and Jefferson were both successful in h.s. and Crowton has never been successful with a young QB that he himself has groomed.

When a coordinator stops calling plays that was unstoppable one week only to run bullshite that has never worked in the past you get a sorry coordinator.
Sorry but even a blind man can see that. He's got to go.

Also, I've heard Miles say that the offense works great in practice and in the game is when it's bad.

He calls the plays that he thinks will work the best. Yes, they are suspect at times. But they are bad to a certain extent, the players still have to perform. And the players haven't performed, so yes, he hasn't been that good. But yall are acting like it's literally all his fault when it's not. It's probably more or less 25% his fault and 75% the player's because every play is made to go all the way. Also, in the sense that he's a quarterback coach, he coaches at a big time college, one of the best programs of all time, why exactly should he have to teach quarterbacks how to throw a ball or where to put the ball when they throw it? I'm sure playing against the scout team is a great indication on how good your offense really is. LSU has no offensive scheme or any sort of consistency.

Worst post of the year. He's right though. It's not all his fault: 50% his, 50% Miles. Miles wants a different system than Crowton, we run a basterdized system that doesn't work. Both of them need to go. Effect: We'd be playing in ATL right now if we'd had just a good offense. A good offense would have kept Mallett and Newton off the field for a lot more of the game, so they wouldn't have affected the outcome.

That's not relivant at all. That's like saying, "I understood all this stuff when I was studying but I still failed the exam"
The offense is bad when it counts. They could gain 600 yards every scrimmage and no one would give a damn.

For fricks sake
Its his damn job to make sure our players perform well. For the second straight year, only Vanderbilt has a worst offense then us while our defense is among the top 10. Are you saying our recruiting on the offensive side is the worst in the conference while the defensive side is the best? Ya know how fricking retarded that is?
I swear Crowton's family members have come out the whazoo the past week
