I don’t do moral victories. I sat and watched at no point did I feel LSU can win this game. This bama team isn’t a shell of last years and We were never in the game. Wake up guys

Then frick off, why do you even think your opinion is valid?
And why even have the thought to make a thread?

Nobody is excited about a loss
I am encouraged with some facets of this team, improvement & no quit.

Hell, Freeze beat Saban twice.....showing us a blueprint of how to do it and Miles ignored it completely.
Why didn’t O follow that blueprint the last two years then?

How fricking dare you! You need to be stomping your feet and wailing at the top of your lungs! And when somebody comes to console you, drop to the ground like a sack of potatoes. Just like a toddler throwing a hissy fit. Like so many of the certain posters on here who spent all day yesterday bashing LSU fans.

It's not being excited. It's being how hard the team played against Bama. We were a few plays away from making this game real close. I'm never happy with a loss but I'm proud by the effort.

Brazos, a lot of people are emotionally invested in the success or failure of this coach vs the program. So many are irrationally praising/crapping on the performance.
For me, while I am not excited about the outcome of the game, there were some things I am not unhappy about. The most palpable one for me was the fact that it seemed like our lines were not being manhandled for the first time in a few years and I felt like we were legitimately in the game almost until the end. We averaged 3.6 ypc and if we eliminate the QB from that number we averaged 5.3 YPC.
But for some missed opportunities, we are having a different conversation now. Gone is the feeling we may not be able to beat another team, that is why I am cautiously optimistic for the rest of the season, though it's not overwhelming confidence.
I have not rewatched to see if it was just game time euphoria on my part, I would be interested in seeing your take.

Some of us are shocked that you still show up here after the way you tried to demonize coach O when he is astronomically far better than your former idol.

The players played far better against Bama than when Miles was still here. They are far better coached and far more focused. You could see it. The only difference is that Bama has a better quarterback than we do.

Is that what’s going on here? Are all the cry babies former Miles lovers? If so, that makes sense. I’m more embarrassed about the fan reaction from the lunatic fringe about the game than having lost to Bama itself.

had we had a QB who could hit open receivers and a few balls caught that were catchable we would have beat those hoes

Then, you are college/SEC football mentally challenged.
There is nothing acceptable bout a 14 pt. L to our west rival Bama in which they lead wire to wire and LSU never one time threaten to take the lead from them. Add in the fact it was our 7th loss in a row to them and every LSU fan should be able to see what a major blow to LSU recruiting that L was. Once again Nick will be able to walk into any La. top recruit's home and tell them, go to LSU if you want but we will beat you just like the last 7 times. Winning the stat war doesn't mean crap and neither does we beat the spread when it comes to recruiting.
This Miles guy or Coach O guy is childish BS. I don't give a flying flip who the coach is or isn't. I care that this makes 7 in a row and no amount of good feelings is going to change that or make it in any way acceptable. imo
If any want to be hearten by playing within 2 TDs, knock yourself out.

If you really thought we could go from where we were to where we need to be in order to beat Bama in one year, then you were destined to be pissed off and there is nothing anybody can do about it. If you instead think about the big picture then you should be at least a little hopeful.

Always pure irony when I read a response and the first line is this:
And then you go on to say these things:
The bottomline is that Nick Saban is the best coach in America, and as long as he's at Alabama they will pretty much own the rest of the country. They won't win every year, but they will be right there at the top for the year they don't win. He's Bear Bryant, Part II. Never thought I'd see a program get that lucky to have two coaches like that.
It's not just an LSU thing. EVERY frickING BODY loses to Alabama. EVERY frickING BODY. You don't think that team XYZ University wants to beat Bama but can't, and it's frustrating as hell?
If having the ability to find balance between true passion of LSU sports and being level headed is what you call mentally challenged, then I'm a retarded motherfricker.

Dude, we're all fricking LSU fans. The loss to Bama sucks. Having to read the comments made by their smart arse, ridiculing, redneck, no Univ of Alabama degree having selves - fricking sucks. 7SU sucks. But there's nothing, NADA, that you or I can fricking do about it, outside of just stop being a fan. But you can look at what happened and see some sort of changes between last year and this year. You can see some tweaks that need to be made here and there, and for the first time in over a decade, a lot of us are confident that those tweaks will actually happen.

Sorry you missed the game Brazos. But I am sure if you watch it with the same enthusiasm as you post, you're going to love it.
You will find many negatives to the game and you will be proven right once again, in your mind. So, sit back and enjoy another 3 hours in your negative life.

2015 was the only game our lines were manhandled since 1/9/12.

I felt like we were legitimately in the game almost until the end.
LSU was never closer than 11 points after the first minute of the second quarter.
LSU had leads until the final minute of the game in 2014, 2012, and was tied until over halfway through the third quarter in 2013.
Even in the game we got manhandled in 2015 we were down 10 until the final minutes of the third quarter.
I’m not knocking the effort by the players or coaches in this game. They showed up prepared, played hard, and didn’t quit.
But that is no different whatsoever than any of the previous games in this series. It is the unnecessary revisionist history to make this game some kind of turning point in the series that many of us are amused by.
Be happy about the performance all you want, but don’t knock previous performances to justify that happiness because then you invite those with facts and perspective to challenge you on your bullshite.
We saw nothing Saturday night that we haven’t seen in every game in this series for a decade.
