I’m still ticked off about the two offsides mistakes on Rebs’ 2 pt conversion

What the hell was that about? We stop them there and it changes the mindset of both teams on the last drive imo.
The offense can solely focus on the final drive instead of also worrying about their own two pt afterwards and Ole Miss defense plays more tight knowing they don’t have the two point cushion

It was coaching and it was kinda masterful

I figured they were definitely going for it thinking if Lane scored a TD on the road he would go for the win (32-31). I thought it was a smart play assuming that. No way Lane was gonna play for OT unless forced and that's what they did to us.

I have zero confidence at that point in our ability to stop them even from the normal 2pt distance. I mean, yes it's disgusting that we jumped not once, but TWICE, but really don't think they would have been able to deny chambliss there unfortunately

If we had scored a TD and went ahead 28-24.....the whole game strategy would have been different in LSU favor.....we failed to make 7!!!

They had no intention of going for it before we jumped the first time. They probably had no intention of going for it until we jumped a second time. To do so would have been colossally stupid and deserving of immediate firing regardless of the outcome.
What they intended to do was draw us offsides and get a free play with nothing to lose. You could see it in Trinidad’s body language that he was aggravated they stopped the play. If they convert, great. If they don’t, they kick. THAT was smart. That was their plan.
And then we teed it up for them at the 1 foot line, and THAT was dumb.

Correct. If we don’t jump, they take the delay and kick the xp. Huge frick up.
