I'm really not understanding the 6-6 projections

Look, I know pre-season projections are bogus, but I'm still gonna speak on it. I think 6-6 is comical. We have a LOT of upper classmen starting for us in various positions this year. I think IF, AND ONLY IF whoever plays QB can make solid throws with ease in the pocket, out of pocket, on the run, and our OL can give him time to do so - we can be a very good football team.

Myles has a proven accurate arm, lets hope he stays healthy. I'm not sold on Daniels just yet but his legs will definitely be utilized. Nussmeier is the real deal but we're going to go with the 23/24 year old here.

I think our defense will be stellar. Top tier DL group, linebackers are a 50/50 ball but i bet they're good, and DB's have depth at the very least.

I'm moving our floor up from 7 yo 8,
8-4 floor
10-2 ceiling

I have faith.

I think we go 8-5 or 9-4

But I can’t agree here

I 100% agree. Team is being overlooked because of the last 2 years and transfers. I think our secondary is the most overlooked, there are some dudes with experience back there.

And let’s be honest, if MB starts last year we win 2-3 more games. It will be the case this year.

I’ll say it again

Lame duck Ed O with a train wreck of a coaching staff and half a roster won 6.

Just the new coaching staff alone should make us 1-2 wins better than that.

I haven’t been paying attention. Who’s saying we’re going to go 6-6?

They have been wrong about everything with Kelly.
Said he would not take the lsu job wrong
Said he could not get quality assistant coaches wrong
Said he could not recruit down south wrong
And they are wrong about wins

Myles was by far the most underwhelming QB in the Spring game(sans Howard). He also has been here for 59 years and has started 3 games.

Most of the 6 - 6 predictions were made when there was a lull in recruiting. Now that recruiting has picked up people are far more optimistic. We changed the entire coaching staff in the offseason and the fact is, no one has any idea how good or bad this team will be.

I just think people aren’t used to LSU’s coach being potentially a reason WHY they win games as opposed to being the thing they need to win in spite of.

Last year with this staff beast Arkansas, Auburn and UCLA. We would have lost to Bama by more because I dont think they would have been so unprepared and not fired up...aside from that, 8-3 going into the A&M game.

This team will be coached much better. Last year coaches cost us Bama, Arky, & AU. Probably UCLA too.

OL is an unknown. Center is a huge question mark and starting a true freshman at left tackle doesn’t usually bode well in the SEC.
No true TE
No proven RB
Great depth at QB, but no proven guy
Really good wr group.
DL has loads of potential, but haven’t proven much. Roy, Smith and Gaye were very inconsistent last year.
LBers look average.
Secondary with 3-4 new starters.
New system being installed and lots of coaches that have never coached together.
Too many unknowns to guarantee anything better than 6 wins.
Personally I think 7-5 with lots of improvement from game 1 to game 12. Problem is our schedule gets tougher as the season goes into December.

The recruiting has picked up for the 2023 class…not 2022

We have no established QB, we finished the year last year with like 3 scholarship players and got beat by some team I can’t even remember, with a 6th string WR at QB, sorry if non fans think we won’t be great. But still, 6-6? Hell no, 8-4
