I don't think A&M can beat MSU. So sure that scenario would work but it isn't part of my scenario.
Eh, that's kind of wishful thinking imo. 3.5 pt spread. It's basically a toss up.

Its not wishful thinking.
I've watched both teams all season and I think A&M doesn't win. In fact I think A&M is lucky to have beaten Arkansas. They aren't a good football team.

Because its very rare for ESPN to get a game of this magnitude at 11 because of how the contract list. The only reason they are in this position is because it coincides with the SEC doubleheader on CBS.
That's not true. On a normal week, ESPN get the 2nd pick of SEC games, whereas this week the got the 3rd pick. They could put the 2nd best SEC game at 11am every week if they wanted to. They aren't going to turn down bigger games/environments just because we are the 11am game.
I think it's more likely that Gameday comes for the Ole Miss game, contingent upon us winning games between now and then.

Its totally true because ESPN isn't playing college football in prime time that night. With their 2nd pick they put it in prime time. They don't have that option.

I'm really gonna piss the rant off with this next prediction.
THE GUEST PICKER WILL BE ED ORGERON

I know that. But if rolling viewers over from Gameday to the 11am game really made that much of a difference, they would pick the 2nd best game and plan Gameday around it.

There is much more money to be made in advertising in the primetime slot with that pick regardless of gameday. It just a matter of circumstance with MLB contracts and SEC CBS doubleheader.
Listen go play Fortnite and let the adults talk about how this happened.

Red River Rivalry is 11am kickoff on ABC. Gameday has to be there for Herbie to announce the game correct?
Posted on 9/26/22 at 1:01 pm to tigerfanz
Herbie doesn't have to call the 11 am ABC kick.

You actually believe Gameday will be there when Texas A+M is at Alabama the same week forget about it. ESPN scheduled that site for Gameday the day the arguing started between Saban and Fisher
Posted on 9/26/22 at 1:03 pm to knoxvol52
That was until A&M lost to app state and then will likely get beat by MSU. 2-2 A&M just won't really get the big game appetite they want.

Ok cool. So you're admitting that rolling viewers over from Gameday to the 11am game doesn't really make that much of a difference. Thanks. If people want to watch Texas vs Oklahoma at 11am, they are going to change the channel. Also throwing MLB games in there like that is going to influence where gameday goes is funny too.

yea I think so. can't see a scenario where they don't go to Dallas now that Fowler and Herbstreit are gonna call it, even if UT and OU lost

Its funny that you are too dense to realize that on a normal ESPN week they would place this game in primetime but because the SEC had two games to pick before them and ESPN only had 1 slot on the flagship they now have the opportunity to put college gameday on a scene that is famous in college football due to circumstance.

I almost think there's chance if State were to beat A&M
However, Bama-Tenn would be a top 5 matchup hypothetically the week after if Tenn were to win and that would surely be a lock for Gameday. Do you really think they want to riski visiting a Tennessee game 3 out of 4 weeks?

It's funny how you are too dense to look at other games that are going on the day. Texas/Oklahoma is at 11am on ABC which is on the ESPN network. You don't think they might want to go there instead? Your whole logic is that the are going to pass up other games just to hope that they roll viewers over from Gameday to the LSU game.

If/When we get gameday to campus this year, the guest picker will 100% be Odell Beckham since he is not on a team ATM
