I don’t like it. And I don’t like the way the student section changed LSU to Kick the shite out of them.
I think there is a lot of room between Go to hell Ole Miss and STTDB.
Having said that, I was singing it at the championship.

There’s trash and then there’s you, gutter trash.

Be honest with yourself when it comes to vulgar language, if the kids are old enough to understand what the words mean, does it matter if they hear it? The way I looked at it when I was a student (in 05-10) was that the vulgar chants was an edgy type tradition at lsu that was funny and pretty unique to the school. Before STTDB there were others, I personally embrace the chants and have a odd sense of pride in them as a LSU alumn.

The pro STTDB crowd:
We like it. Say the frick home if you don’t like it. Go to a different game.
The anti STTDB crowd:
Come to the game, just don’t say it. Show class.
One group sounds more realistic and tolerant than the other. The other just sounds pathetic.
This issue is so easily solved by choosing class and not becoming Maryland Basketball fans.
It’s simple, really.

Hey bitch! This is merica where people like myself and others are willing to get shot at so you and yours don't have to worry about being invaded and having your entire family raped or killed in front of you as part of the norm. In this country we have the freedom of speech and the right to peaceably assemble. You exercise this right when you subject yourself to games and your are the one subjected your children to this. So if it bothers you this much stay your arse at home. I promise you this tho little Timmy or whatever your spawn's name is, is cussing like a sailor when you are not around and if he's not he's definitely around kids that are. Enjoy your day and God bless!

I don’t really care for the vulgarities. It’s kind of embarrassing and disappointing. I do find it at least somewhat funny however. I would prefer if we were more respectful, but many of us aren’t. I’m not sure how you stop it. What if vulgarities are added to every song? It’s the sign of the times I suppose.

Have you watched any network tv lately? Pretty sure I heard them say frick on a TV show the other day. It's just a word man and I can promise my kids have heard me say a lot worse. Let me put it this way I would rather my kid say a-hole than to grow up and be one

No the Anti STTDB mentality- Im going to complain online about an event on a college campus not being appropriate for my adolescent child. If you don't feel like having your child around a bunch of drunk college kids is appropriate, you dont bring them by a bunch of drunk college kids.
My mentality as a Pro STTDB crowd is -The reality is no matter what is said on a forum board, the chants at LSU will continue and are just part of the event. So you can either go and enjoy it, sit away from student section,go and complain, or go and be miserable about it. I personally don't care what you do.

I feel like it's this type of mentality over something that has no major impact on anyone's lives that leads to a the sad sheltered lives that cause Aggy fans and yell leaders

What’s more vulgar, that chant or the 50 drunk asses around you during the games yelling “Let’s fricking goooooo” or “God dammit, what the frick” or “This piece of fricking shite” that I hear at most games?
Don’t take your kids to a sporting event if you’re this sensitive about it.

That’s right. Change EVERYTHING and just go buy you some other seats that you haven’t had for years.
You’re not helping your case.

I no longer yell "Tiger Bait" at opposing fans and families. To me, that's something that some old Boomer would yell.
You're exactly right.
Also a lot more elderly folks on the rant than I thought.

Oh I’m pretty sure your kid will be an foul-mouthed a-hole with a role model like you.

I was in the student section in 2007 and when the cheer would start I’d fold my arms and not sing cause I wasn’t comfortable being associated with it. The worse part would be when the people who antagonized me for not singing.
Saying your don’t like is fine. Saying you do like it’s fine. I think the debate could be good.
When you start being frustrated/offended cause you can’t control what other fans think. That’s just plain dumb. I’d recommend not giving other people that much control over how you feel...

I'm offended that so many are of the opinion that this is a major life issue and cause for 14+ pages about how you and everyone else that shares the same opinion are contributing to raising the next generation as little bitch arse snow flakes.

Your right dick for brains my wife and I work hard to make sure they are all fed, have clothes on their backs, have a roof over their head, generally to make sure they don't go without. They are raised to know right from wrong they make good grades but because they've heard their dad say a few what we as a society have feemed "bad words" they are going to just turn into pure evil.
They were taught from a young age that those are adult words and they are not supposed to say them. If they say them outside of our earshot then there is nothing that can be done about that and no amount of whining or bitching and moaning is going to change that.

The most disingenuous post in this thread so far
OP is asking thousands of people in ONE environment for ONE event to cater to his children by changing their behavior.
How reasonable is that? Hint, it's not reasonable, AT ALL.
If you and/or your offspring are so sensitive that certain words or chants offend you, then don't go to the ONE event on the ONE day of the week where people say those words.
I mean Jesus y'all.
