In fairness, look at how he went out at USC & Ole Miss. There was no guarantee this would go smoothly, and you have to credit him for recognizing/accepting he is in over his head + moreover not making it about him.

He knew this prior to Saturday. Professional on all sides. Breath of fresh air.

He didn’t avoid litigation because he loves the school, he’s avoiding litigation because Woodward would bury his arse with Title IX and he wouldn’t get a dime of his buyout. He agreed because it’s his only option to get a final pay day.
