Yes the bullpen is garbage, but his decisions in game did nothing to help LSU. We can overcome a bad bullpen, but we can’t overcome a bad bullpen plus bad moves by coach.

What I will say is he appears to overthink moves at times.

Yep, tries to out maneuver the competition and his decisions have been horrible lately.

He over manages. You can see him in game starring at that clip board. My philosophy is go with what got you there most of the time. The thing that got me is he knows how bad the pen is and he takes out two experienced players one of which is the one if not the hottest hitter on the team. Game 2 he should have went batter by batter with Floyd at 103 pitches knowing how crappy the pen is. He left Little in too long today as well.

I think the over managing is result of him desperately trying to find a combination that works.

He needs to circle a select few guys to ride out the rest of the year and stick with it. Even if things get rocky let them try to figure it out.
